The world is going through an unprecedented crisis. Climate Change, resource depletion, wars, conflicts, are threatening life on earth. We believe that the economic crisis that is going on is the cumulative result of all these crises. The world need to act urgently. The purpose of Countercurrents.org is to raise awareness about this unprecedentd crisis. Just awareness is not enough. As our motto, "Educate! Organize! Agitate!" suggests we need to act. Act immediately. Instead of waiting for big solutions on a global, structural level (of course, we need them, and organize and agitate for it on a global level), people are already acting on a local level.
It is already happening! We need more of that. We need to nurture these grass root level actions and make them bloom. We need ideas too for a possible solution for this crisis. Countercurrents is joining this action by creating a platform called "Counter Solutions". Come join us. Take action by joining in one of these local actions. Throw in your ideas. Alert your friends. Spread the word. Write about these actions in your area and let the whole world know. Encourage your friends to write about them. Document it on video and share it.
