War Preparations You Can Bank On

With the absence of most real news, or any meaningful context, on any mainstream news program, all serious minds that attempt to fathom the intrigues of nations or the manipulations of the multi-national corporations are relying on past patterns, alternate information sources and conjecture from scant clues and if they do get attention in media at all they are referred to as conspiracy nuts. So be it.
I wish to speak of the war in our planned for future. I wish to say that the cynicism behind these plans and, in some cases, the genocidal blood-lust on the part of the war profiteers, has held sway long enough. Political horse races and sensationalism of the most trivial and prurient nature are doled out by most media sources 24/7. But real political maneuvers and the pointing of the arrows of our arsenal squarely to the east are resolutely ignored.
Most military actions can be known by observers far in advance, by the suddenly pervasive military rhetoric and by casual observations of troop and equipment movements. The inevitable trumped up and selected enemies, are in fact, our victims. These enemies are quite suddenly discovered by the media, when any rational investigation always shows they have just the resources we need. A new war frenzy is promptly engendered, and there is a ramping up of the “police state” policies that we live under.
Heretofore, in my lifetime, from before Vietnam to the present, I have noticed careful war preparations. As the current president gets the Nobel Peace Prize, his black budgets blossom, assassins are sent out, regime changes are accomplished, and we build another massive occupying base complex complete with KFC and McDonald’s. The process is repetitive and secretive. But the advance plans are available, even if only after the fact, and so are the thousand plus US bases worldwide that exist as evidence of our long-term intentions,
The corporations get windfalls from no-bid contracts, profits from oil contracts, and more profits from supplying replacement munitions and armaments. Such is the cynicism dripping like sweet crude from the Project for a New American Century, that this empire process we are involved in is extolled as desirable and even inevitable. It has been ten years since 911 and, for all but the richest few, it has been a decade of disaster.
So what?! If you turn on the ignition, and your Hummer leaves the driveway, you are seen by the political class as acquiescing to the machinations of empire. Is this military agenda worth the price of the world?
The following is speculation based on careful reading of alternative sources. Do not accept this without thoughtful skepticism. I speak only as a citizen without profit motive or credential.
The subject is our current stage in the ongoing process that was declared by President George Bush Jr. and dubbed by the media the WAR ON TERROR. Now it has metastasized into five or six regional wars, has lasted over ten years, and has been scheduled for two more wars, creating a perpetual “state of war economy”. I am not the first writer to rename this conflict as another world war. If you didn’t get the memo, let’s find out if I can update your memory. First, 911 (the new Pearl Harbor), Next the Afghanistan campaign, followed by the long occupation in Iraq, we have ”won each engagement“. We have left refugees and fall-out from depleted uranium everywhere.
We, along with Israel, are now poised to launch a long-awaited war against Iran. After the most recent coalition that we used, as an excuse, to wrest control of Libya for our puppet freedom fighters, and to usher in the Europe’s central banks, we have decided, as a furthering of our government’s agenda, that the time is right to attempt another gear up for a campaign against Iran. This, although unwise by itself, will not allow occupation to proceed as easily. I predict that this endeavor will end badly. I also predict, from China’s and Russia’s warnings, that we will provoke retaliation both at home and abroad.
So why now, and not before now, and with no headlines, can we expect a new and very likely worldwide war? Why should anyone expect this? I will try to be brief, but there are many, admittedly mostly foreign, sources.
Any day is a good day for wars of political and economic expediency, if you are pundit or profiteer. The current political season is a perfect time for a war of distraction, when a rock could get more votes than most party candidates, and even a super-committee cannot find a top hat to pull an economic rabbit out of. The specter of global super depression is giving all the Kleptocrats reasons to head for warmer climates. A populist confrontation in the US is being engendered by the administration’s complete disregard for any public opinion. Economic despair and a war to cover for the prevailing incompetence seems baked in the cake. Because war is not as popular with #OWS types. And, at present, police violence in response to street resistance is a popular worldwide trend spreading around the Mediterranean and lately even to Brittan and Germany.
There are apparently two known solutions to the world’s financial crisis: Number One, a fairy tale ending from our western Bible. This would be a sort of debt forgiveness/bank holiday called Jubilee, where the world’s lenders simply forgive the world’s debts. Number Two, as in the last two banker-caused depressions, the solution that ended the depressions and re-started the capitalist industry was a banker-sponsored world war. I find evidence for the next war escalation plans in many places. Not being a banker or a war profiteer myself, these plans trouble me.
Although we peaceful folk have been demoralized by ten brutal years of occupation, our leaders are doggedly provoking China with military incursions in Africa, in Iran, and in Pakistan. Today, as I write, we have just attacked Pakistan, even though we have been told by the Chinese that they will treat any incursion into Pakistan as an act of war. We also announced today that troops are being sent to central Africa. While no reason was given, these actions will be seen as a ramping up of provocation by the Chinese. I expect that this unexpected action is intended to deny them access to oil and other needed resources.
Now, as the world’s economy lies in ruins, a new war has been planned. The players are China, Russia, and Iran against the NATO alliance. As a provocation designed to start the war, there’s been an expansion of U.S. missiles in Europe, Turkey, and Iran on the border with Russia. Just two days ago, Russian President Medvedev spoke scathingly of this recent escalation on Russia TV. There is also a massive ramping up of sanctions against Iran. Military incursions are currently on-going in Libya, central Africa, and Pakistan. While our troops and bases have already been strategically placed in this region To date the U.S. press has made almost no mention of these new saber rattlings.
This time, our main missile system has a new star wars radar system that is easily defeated by countermeasures, patriot missiles that often don’t work, F22 jets that have been repeatedly grounded, and many new soldier Johnnies who still can’t read.
At this writing, the 2012 presidential race is paramount in the news cycle, and so buildup must be gradual and the plans hidden for any announcement of hostilities to give a boost to the candidate’s poll ratings at the most advantageous moment. What is the color of our threat level today? Another event like 911, anyone?
