The extreme right-wing Coalition Australian Government has issued an anti-Green  document called “Preventing violent extremism and radicalisation in Australia”. However an Open Letter sent to new Australia PM Malcolm Turnbull sets out how radicalisation is actually vital for science-based social advance and how successive pro-war, US lackey, climate criminal, war criminal, human rights–abusing and child-abusing  Australian governments are committed to state terrorism, nuclear terrorism and violent extremism.

Dear Prime Minister,

The Attorney General's  Department has issued a profoundly dishonest, anti-environmentalist  and dangerous document called  “Preventing violent extremism and radicalisation in Australia” [1].

Radicalisation is not just good but is vital for Humanity. I believe in Gandhian non-violence but also in Gandhian radicalisation. As a scientist and academic my professional ethos is one of  science-based radicalising, using facts and reason to enable students, fellow scientists  and others to see things in a radically new and useful way. Indeed preventing radicalisation will lead to irrational policy and violent extremism.

The extraordinary technology-based advance of humanity derives from the scientific process that involves the critical testing of potentially falsifiable hypotheses as opposed the entrenched  Mainstream anti-science spin that involves  the selective use of asserted facts to support a partisan position.

“Preventing violent extremism and radicalisation in Australia” is profoundly dangerous because it wants to prevent radicalisation (the very basis of radical, science-based  human advance) and is profoundly anti-environmentalist  and dishonest because, while falsely slagging a nobly-motivated young woman, Karen, for wanting to save the environment from ecocidal and speciescidal climate criminals, it totally ignores the reality of active or passive Australian government violent extremism,  state terrorism, warmongering,  war making and climate criminality involving the following:

(1) Australia has invaded 85 countries (as compared to the  British 193, France 80, the US 70 , Germany 38 , Japan 30, Canada 24, Russia 24, Apartheid Israel 12 , and China 2), with 30 of these Australian  invasions involving  genocidal atrocities  [2, 3] .

(2) Australia is currently war criminally invading Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan,  and through  Pine Gap critically targets illegal US drone attacks on Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan (13 million Muslims have died  from Western violence or imposed deprivation since 1990 in the Australia-complicit US War on Muslims; there are now over 30 million Muslim refugees) [2, 4].  

(3) 7 million people die from air pollution each year, this including 10,000 Australians  and 75,000 people world-wide dying each year via pollutants from the burning  of exported Australian coal [5].

(4) 83,000 Australians die preventably each year (passive mass murder by uncaring governments),  17 million people die from deprivation each year on Spaceship Earth (with the US and other rich countries like Australia   in charge of the flight deck), and it is estimated that 10 billion may die from unaddressed climate change this century, noting that Australia is a world leader in annual per capita greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution and in climate change inaction  [6, 7, 8] .

(5) 25% of adult Australians have been sexually abused as children and about 24,000 suffer  premature deaths each year  linked to their childhood sexual abuse [8].

(6). Over 40% of Australian women have experienced violence since age 15,  0.5 million experience physical violence or sexual assault each year, and about 80  Australian women are killed each year in domestic/family homicides [9-11].

(7) Despite  zero (0) Australian deaths ever in Australia at the hands of  a Muslim terrorist organization, Australian governments have imposed draconian anti-terrorism laws involving violently-enforced custodial  punishment of up to life imprisonment for Australians seeing, reading, saying, reporting or supporting things  the government does not like  [8, 12].

(8) Australia has been complicit in the violent generation of 30 million Muslim refugees and highly-abusively and indefinitely imprisons water-borne refugees (including children, and without charge or trial) in remote concentration camps [4, 8].

(9) Australia supports and is critically involved in the ultimate violent extremism and state terrorism of US nuclear terrorism and opposes nuclear disarmament, unlike 117 decent nations who support an international ban on nuclear weapons [13].  

Unfortunately, prosperous, look-the-other-way Australia largely ignores these horrendous realities.  As Arundhati Roy stated: “The ultimate privilege of the élite is not just their deluxe lifestyles, but deluxe lifestyles with a clear conscience”. Decent Australians who are opposed to violent extremism will utterly reject the deadly,  war criminal,  climate criminal and  violent extremism of successive Australian governments, vote 1 Green, demand climate revolution now, and urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment  and Sanctions (BDS) against  all people, politicians, parties, countries, companies and corporations  complicit in violent extremism  [14, 15].

Conclusions.

Australia is a Plutocracy, Murdochracy, Lobbyocracy, Corporatocracy and Dollarocracy in which Big Money purchases people, politicians , parties, policies, public perception of reality, votes and political power. Australia's Neocon American and Zionist Imperialist  (NAZI)-perverted and subverted Mainstream media, politician and academic  presstitutes ensure that the Awful Truths outlined above  are largely or completely missing from public perception, the public narrative  and public discussion. Instead Australians are fed a steady diet of lying by omission, lying by commission, terror hysteria, human rights abuse, jingoism  and warmongering.

Australia's latest PM, the charming, intelligent and articulate  Malcolm Turnbull, replaced his predecessor, the deeply unpopular, simplistic and aggressive right-wing ideologue Tony Abbott, in a September 2015 Parliamentary Coup, the third such removal by Coup of a popularly elected Australian PM in a bit over 5 years. Turnbull claims that under his leadership Australia's extreme right-wing, neoliberal Liberal Party-National Party Coalition Government will not insult the intelligence of the Australian people by indulging in the “debate by slogan” of his predecessor. However without public debate Turnbull gained the Prime Membership from his fellow Liberal Party MPs by the slender margin of 55 to 44 at the price of accepting the anti-environment, anti-marriage equality, pro-war, human rights abuse and climate change inaction policies of his hardline conservative predecessor i.e. the charming, polite, intelligent  and ostensibly reasonable and progressive PM  Turnbull is a “lipstick on a pig” and can be described as Malcolm “lipstick on a pig” Turnbull, Tony Turnbull, Malcolm Abbott, Abbott-in-sheep's-clothing Turnbull, and Malcolm Turncoat.

While zero (0) Australians have ever been killed in Australia by a terrorist from a Muslim terrorist organization, successive pro-coal, violently extremist   Australian Coalition or Labor  (aka Lib-Lab or Liberal-Laboral) governments have actively supported unlimited coal exports, the burning of which has  killed 1.1 million people worldwide since the US Government's 9-11 false flag atrocity; have actively supported the Zionist-promoted  US War on Muslims associated with 30 million Muslims refugees and  13 million Muslim deaths from Western violence or imposed deprivation since 1990; and are complicit in 1.2 million  Australian preventable deaths since 2001 due to the utterly obscene fiscal perversion of committing to a $150 billion long-term accrual cost to Australia of the post-9-11  War on Terror and killing millions of Muslims abroad from Libya to Pakistan rather than keeping Australians alive at home -   violent extremism indeed.

In an increasingly Orwellian Australia, the extreme right-wing and violently extremist, war criminal,  climate criminal  and human rights-abusing Coalition Australian Government examples  environmental activism as “violent extremism” and “radicalisation” in its latest propaganda   “Preventing violent extremism and radicalisation in Australia”. However the above Open Letter sent to new Australia PM Malcolm Turnbull sets out how radicalisation is vital for science-based social advance and how successive pro-war, US lackey, climate criminal, war criminal, human rights–abusing and child-abusing  Australian governments are committed to state terrorism, nuclear terrorism and violent extremism.

As I concluded in my Open Letter to PM Malcolm Turnbull, decent Australians who are opposed to violent extremism will utterly reject the deadly, war criminal,  climate criminal,  and  violent extremism of successive Australian governments, vote 1 Green, demand climate revolution now, and urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment  and Sanctions (BDS) against  all people, politicians, parties, countries, companies and corporations  complicit in violent extremism.  Like-minded pro-equity, pro-peace, pro-environment  and pro-human rights folk around  the world will do likewise.
