The Destructive Mind Of A Vagina: Hilary Clinton Is Not A Friend To Women

By Parul Verma

05 November, 2015
Countercurrents.org

I do not intend to hurt the sentiments of any woman/manby using the term vagina liberally , for it is not being used in the article to degrade anyone or anything, rather it is an attempt to understand the triad relationship between a vagina, politics and feminism. I am not ashamed of the word ,on the contrary, I myself being a woman,am proud of my biological anatomy. The possession of the vagina does not in any miniature form defines my immortal soul, but it does define the anatomy of my mortal body. The man-made genderization of the human anatomy is swinging on a suspended pendulum with inequality and oppression as its two polarities. Oh!, how the possession of this vagina confines you to a preconceived societal norms and the continuoes struggles to break the bars, liberates you, only a mortal flesh with a vagina shall know.

So, if my usage of the word vagina offends you, you should explore the arena of why's, for only a psyche(unconscious ) filled with shame towards a particular object is offended by its explicit exposure via words.

Since Charles Fourier in 1837 coined the word 'feminisme' , the ideology of defining, establishing, achieving and sustaining political, social, cultural, personal and collective rights for woman has become goal that has imparted meaning within and among the lives of the women around the world. But the doubts reveals itself when the essence of critical questioning refuses to conceal itself under the assumptions of a naive mind.

Does each woman possessing the vagina, necessarily would fight to liberate every confined vagina, from the chain's of inequalities? Does voting for a particular vagina to rise to power, necessarily would lead to the liberation of each vagina, trapped by the chain’s of bigotry? Is Hilary Clinton using the pro-woman bogus agenda to win the votes of the woman community? Is she worth your vote?

It becomes increasingly important to not let the mind get swayed in the waters of naivety. During the 2008 candidacy, National Organization of Women (NOW) endorsed Clinton, based on her long history of support for women’s empowerment. A group of 250 academics and activists calling themselves “Feminists for Clinton” praised her “powerful, inspiring advocacy of the human rights of women with enormous contributions" as a policymaker. Recently, The Campus Communications Associate of the Feminist Campus, Taylor Kuether, said a woman president like Hillary Clinton is a great idea.

“ Think we’d finally put to rest the tired, drawn-out arguments over birth control, abortion access, the wage gap, etc. A woman in charge would recognize that those obstacles have an easy answer (simply, grant women equality!) and would then devote her time to solving much larger issues, like the state of the economy or U.S. foreign policy.” About Clinton specifically, Kuether added ” if she runs, she’ll have the support of every feminist in the world.” .

If one thinks about it, Kuether is not wrong when she believes that Hilary would indeed bring positive changes in woman rights policies .In April 2015,Hilary Clinton, offered a roaring pro-woman speech at the Women in the World conference to which the New York magazine’s Daily Intelligence reported:

“[Clinton] said it was ‘unthinkable’ that mothers in the United States weren’t entitled to paid leave, that child-care benefits were nearly non-existent, and that women and men alike are forced to work inflexible hours that make being a parent impossible."

Although, Hilary Clinton has made woman rights agenda as her priority for the upcomingelection. She is test trailing with the campaigns of upward mobility and downward inequality, in an rigorous attempt to win. Any feminist who is singing praises of Hilary Clinton, is certainly consumed by false consiousness and lack of ability to view the holistic career decisions taken by Hillary Clinton. The idea of Hilary becoming the next POTUS ,based on the reasons of her being a female who aims to equalisegender,is highly uncomprehendable, for her history of actions paints a destructive picture.

RECEIVING MILLIONS FROM THE WOMEN OPPRESSIVE COUNTRIES

Before Hillary Clinton became secretary of state, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contributed at least $10 million to the Clinton foundation, a philanthropic organisation that she and her husband were supervising . And in return, State Department approved $165 billion worth of commercial arms sales to 20 nations whose governments have given money to the Clinton Foundation.( source: IBTimes analysis of State Department and foundation data). The triad relationship of donation to Hilary's NGO, weapon manufacturer and foreign government not only led to the inevitable demand of continues supply of weapons but also made the made war profitable in literal sense.

Now, this is interesting since Hilary claims to implement pro-woman policies. The country from where she silently accepted the millions of donation ( Saudi Arabia ), it is famous for its dubious ways in the treatment of the woman. Saudi Arabia prohibits women to not hold political office or drive cars or wear make up or clothes that 'show off their beauty'. Saudi forces have also been highly active in suppressing the pro-democracy movement in Bahrain, where female leaders of the movement like Maryam al-Khawaja face imprisonment or exile. Infact, the royal daughters Sahar, Maha, Hala and Jawaher Al Saud of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Arabian monarch who is worth an estimated $15 billion was tortured and kept captive for speaking in favour of woman rights. ( source: www.nypost.com)

Ask yourself, If Hilary Clinton is indeed for pro-woman equality ,why would she accept donations from the country infamous for its dubious treatment of woman ? Is her pro-woman concept limited to a particular demographic? She being a woman, how can she ignore the background status of a woman oppressive nation before accepting millions from them? Does millions speaks much more louder to her than her conscience, the facts states the same.

According to a 2014 report from Whatever It Takes, a blog that tracks the candidate’s human rights record, mentioned “Clinton planned and pushed for the illegal Obama war to support Al Qaeda factions against Libya, which is now a failed state ruled by jihadist militias who kill unarmed protesters. The support, including weapons, given to Al Qaeda by the USA spilled over into empowering other Al Qaeda linked terrorist groups, including Boko Haram, which … kidnapped hundreds of young women.”

Libya Invasion

The invasion in Libya is dubbed as Hillary's war. Wikipedia page on Hillary Clinton says

As the Libyan Civil War took place, Clinton's shift in favor of military intervention aligned her with Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice and National Security Council figure Samantha Power and was a key turning point in overcoming internal administration opposition from Defense Secretary Gates, security advisor Thomas Donilon, and counterterrorism advisor John Brennan in gaining the backing for, and Arab and U.N. approval of, the 2011 military intervention in Libya. She later used U.S. allies and what she called "convening power" to help keep the Libyan rebels unified as they eventually overthrew the Gaddafi regime. The aftermath of the Libyan Civil War saw the country becoming a failed state, and the wisdom of the intervention and interpretation of what happened afterward would become the subject of considerable debate.

Time Magazine Reports:

The political grief Clinton has suffered over the September 11, 2012 attack on a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, comes with an ironic twist: the tragic episode might never occurred had Clinton not supported intervening in Libya’s civil war.

Gates bridled at getting mixed up in another Arab country, insisting that vital U.S. interests were not at stake. But as Muammar Gaddafi’s forces gained momentum and threatened to massacre innocents in early 2011, influential Obama advisors, including then-U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice and national security aides Ben Rhodes and Samantha Power argued for air strikes. Even with public opinion running more than 2-1 against them, Clinton sided with the interventionists. “In the final phase of the internal debate,” Gates writes, “Hillary threw her considerable clout behind Rice, Rhodes and Power.”

That clout may have been decisive: Obama later told Gates that his decision to approve air strikes had been a 51-49 call. Had Clinton taken the other side, Obama might have, too. (For his part, Gates says he considered resigning over the issue.)

Libya is another example of Hillary’s belief in pairing diplomacy with force, says the former State Department official. “On Libya, what convinced her was being able to build a diplomatic coalition” that included the Arab League and the United Nations. “I don’t think you can separate those two things from each other.”

In 1967 Colonel Gaddafi inherited one of the poorest nations in Africa; by the time he was assassinated, he had transformed Libya into Africa's richest nation. Prior to the US-led bombing campaign in 2011, Libya had the highest Human Development Index, the lowest infant mortality and the highest life expectancy in all of Africa.

Result:

According to Gideon Polya who is a scholar in global mortality rate at least 1,00,000 people have died due to the invasion of Libya. At least one million refugees have fled too.

Today, Libya is a failed state. Western military intervention has caused all of the worst-scenarios: Western embassies have all left, the South of the country has become a haven for ISIS terrorists, and the Northern coast a center of migrant trafficking. Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia have all closed their borders with Libya. This all occurs amidst a backdrop of widespread rape, assassinations and torture that complete the picture of a state that is failed to the bone.

Afghan War

During her tenure as US Secretary of state she was accomplice in the 2009 Afghan surge in which thousands of additional troops and commit billions more dollars to Afghanistan. She did nothing to pull back US troops from the war torn country.

Result:

Number of people killed-92,000

Civilian causality-more than 26,000(woman and children included )

Number of people injured-100,00

The war has negatively effected the health care and economic infrastructure of Afghani people. Poverty, malnutrition, poor sanitation, lack of access to health care have degraded Afghanis'.

Iraq War

On October 11, 2002, Clinton voted in favor of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq, commonly known as the Iraq War Resolution, to give President Bush authority for the Iraq War.

By February 2007, Clinton made a point of refusing to admit that her October 2002 Iraq War Resolution vote was a mistake, or to apologize for it, as anti-war Democrats demanded. "If the most important thing to any of you is choosing someone who did not cast that vote or has said his vote was a mistake, then there are others to choose from," Clinton told an audience in Dover, New Hampshire.

Result:

Number of Iraqi civilians killed--approximately 165,000 ( woman and children included )

Although ,the actual number of civilians killed by direct and indirect war violence is unknown

(Source:-www.watson.brown.edu)

According to Gideon Polya Iraq war has caused 2.7 Million Iraqi Dead From Violence Or War-imposed Deprivation

“... I URGED HIM TO BOMB “---HILARY CLINTON ( war-mongering and merciless killings )

Hillary defended the 1998 cruise missile strike on the El Shifa pharmaceutical plant in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum , thereby destroying the largest producer of cheap medications for treating malaria and tuberculosis . This pharmaceutical plant provided over 60% of available medicine in Sudan, leaving region to flourish with deaths due to the lack of treatment. The two most defining features of Clinton’s tenures as Senator (2001-2009) and Secretary of State (2009-2013) is crucial to understand the U.S.A government’s “right” to aggressivelyintervene in foreign countries. In 2006 she agreed to send United Nations troops to Darfur with the support provided by NATO forces. Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi claimed it was not committed out of concern for Sudanese people but “…for oil and for the return of colonialism to the African continent.”This is the same leader who was murdered in the aftermath of the 2011 NATO bombing of Libya. the administration knew that removing Gaddafi from power would allow the terrorist organisations to play anactive role in Libya to run for thepossession of power in the vacuum left behind. And Libya has indeed become a terrorists safe haven and a failed state, conducive for exporting extremist to the conflict against Assad in Syria.

The Pentagon had converted the demography of Iraq into a blooming buisness opportunity for burgeoning mercenary industry. Clinton turned the State Department into a profitable machine for promoting U.S. business. She did a brilliant job in aiming to install herself as the government’s highest-ranking business lobbyist. The defence corporations like Lockheed Martin, Boeing etc raised their profit bars ,with each invasion in a foreign country.Lockheed Martin’s arms sales was $35.5 billion in the year 2013, more than any other company in the world. The company posted total sales of $45.5 billion in the same year , 78% of which were arms. While Boeing's total arm sale in the year 2013totaled to $30.7 billion. Her Foreign Policy essay on “America’s Pacific Century(2011) “ mentioned explicit contents about the objective of “opening new markets for American businesses.”As a Senator she not only voted in favour of the illegal 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq in the name of 'bringing democracy to the region' but she was also an outspoken critic of resistance within the United Nations. She was a rigorous supporter of the attack on Iraq, based on lies, in 2003( non existent WMD). On the floor of the Senate she echoed all the fictions about Saddam Hussein’s “chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program.”. And we all know, NOTHING was found. Her merciless apathetic trait was never hidden, infact in 1996, Albright was asked whether the death of half a million Iraq children as a result of the sanctions was justified, and her reply in a television interview was , “We think the price was worth it.”Hilary, as you may have guessed it rightly, agreed with her.

Shehas been a firm supporter of the aggressive military activities by Israel in the illegal occupied territories of Palestine. Even though she was out of the term, when the last Gaza assault occuredin 2014 by the Israel government, she made sure that Palestine’s UN statehood bid went nowhere in the Security Council.Clinton has been the administration’s most forceful advocates of expanding military operations in Afghanistan, Libya and Syria , Iraq and whatever nation she may decide in future. She has assisted Obama, urging him to use drones which has had more civilian casualties than mere execution of the terrorists of those region. She was one of the loudest proponents against her husband’s hesitancy over the bombing of Kosovo, telling Lucina Frank: “I urged him to bomb"( March 21, 1999).

Ask yourself, a woman whose decisions has killed/ mutilated/murdered innocent civilians including woman and small children, is she capable of thinking of anyconstructivist policies when her decisions has done nothing but shamed humanity.? How does she in her basic sense advocates of woman rights when because of her, thousands of woman have become a victim of poverty, still being deprived of basic survival needs, struggling to strive each day as you read ? Her bogus pro- woman agenda to gain votes from the female community , shall be a fail attempt, once her anti-humanitarian actions are exposed.

Hillary Clinton's Domestic Record for woman's rights

Her LACK of consideration for woman rights is much prevalent in America as well. During her 2008 presidential campaign, Clinton’s top donors included finance and investment industries like Citigroup , JPMorgan Chase &Co, Goldman Sachs— some of the same corporations that caused a massive global financial crash in 2007 that led to an unprecedented wave of job losses and home evictions. Women and children suffered most from the poor economy, according to a 2013 article from Mercedes White, a reporter for Deseret News:

“Eviction is a problem that disproportionately affects America’s poor, especially poor women with children. It is so common in urban poor neighbourhoods that in some ways it has become part of the texture of life. In an analysis of eviction in Milwaukee, Harvard sociologist Matthew Desmond found that minority women with low incomes are disproportionately impacted: Black women account for 13 percent of Milwaukee’s population but make up 40 percent of those evicted.” (Source: False Feminism by Kit O'Connell).

CONCLUSION

Actually, there is no conclusion to begin with. The facts are stated above, the numbers are mentioned above, the inhuman policies implied by Hilary Clinton has been demonstrated above. What needs to be understood is that power of the impunity. America has become a nation wherepower to abuse and the abuse of power has become a constant phenomenon, precisely because you, as a citizen refuses to critically question the person in power. Think , doubt and raise questions. If Hilary Clinton without any conscience can speak “ I urged him to bomb “and willingly accepts millions from a country famous for its woman oppression techniques, there is a high possibility of her doing NOTHING to down root inequality once she rise to power..

IS SHE STILL WORTH YOUR VOTE? IS SHE REALLY ABOUT PRO-WOMAN POLICIES? THINK.
