Countercurrents.org

Supreme Court lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan who was roughed up at his chambers by three men who were reportedly upset at a statement he made about the Kashmir dispute has been widely condemned and on Facebook this issue seems the mostly heated issue this time. The youths reportedly belong to an unknown group called “Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena” which is presently having a fan page on Facebook. With the widespread Condemnation of this act by many popular names from India including Kiran Bedi this act has been widely condemned on their Facebook page too. The page has pertinently 1,406 Likes.(When Published)

The Facebook Page namely “Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena” has got almost 150 Comments with huge threads of comments followed after every comment posted on the pages wall, after this act and almost everybody commenting on the page seems disappointed with their doing. Many Facebook users have not left behind in criticizing this group for their act and not only Kashmiri Muslims have expressed their anger on the page of “Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena” but the most number of comments have come from the people outside Kashmir too. A Facebook user Gurmeet Singh has written “Anybody who likes this site is either an idiot/ moron or a congress stooge. They are maligning the name of Bhagat Singh and trying to intimidate the Team Anna on the pretex of Kashmir so they are anti-national as well. All those who care about india, leave this group now.” Another Facebook user Sunny Verma has expressed deep sorrow in his comment and written “If you have the guts, go fight against corrupt policies and oppressive forces. You empty shallow right wing fundamentalists, this country doesn't need souls like you. And if you have muscle power, use it in protecting people who need it.....I bet you can't do that. I as a citizen of free India am ashamed of people like you. And no worries, coz this is where "YOU" guys will Rot. Trust me, Bhagat Singh's soul is deeply sad and remorseful because of people you and groups like these”.

Talking about the Kashmiri Facebook users, they too have not left behind in criticizing the act but they also are posting their comments on this page. Faisal H. Bhat a Facebook user from Kashmir has used his words in a true sense and posted a well versed comment on the wall of the page. He has posted “And they say india is a democracy!”. Nasir Shaikh, another Kashmiri Facebook user has written “Shame on such peoples who does not believe in democracy and specially all sena who is only there to crate rift among peoples such sena should be banned who are good for nothing”.

From every type of criticism to every condemnation over this, this Facebook page seems the most hit out by the anger of people.

Pertinently Bhushan was speaking to a TV news channel when the youths barged into his office in the New Lawyers Chambe. They also left pamphlets at Bhushan's office and said on Facebook, "If you break my nation, will break your head". The groups has a blog http://bhagatsinghkrantisena.blogspot.com/ which simply targets Kashmiri Separatist leaders.
