"On the fourth Thursday of November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, a national holiday honoring the early settlers and their harvest feast known as the first Thanksgiving.
Native Americans
Long before settlers came to the East Coast of the United States, the area was inhabited by many Native American tribes. The area surrounding the site of the first Thanksgiving, now known as southeastern Massachusetts and eastern Rhode Island had been the home of the Wampanoag people for over 12,000 years, and had been visited by other European settlers before the arrival of the Mayflower. The native people knew the land well and had fished, hunted, and harvested for thousands of generations.
The Settlers
The people who comprised the Plymouth Colony were a group of English Protestants who wanted to break away from the Church of England. These ‘separatists’ initially moved to Holland and after 12 years of financial problems, they received funding from English merchants to sail across the Atlantic to settle in a ‘New World.' A ship carrying 101 men, women, and children spent 66 days traveling the Atlantic Ocean, intending to land where New York City is now located. Due to the windy conditions, the group had to cut their trip short and settle at what is now called Cape Cod.
Settling and Exploring
As the Puritans prepared for winter, they gathered anything they could find, including Wampanoag supplies.
One day, Samoset, a leader of the Abenaki, and Tisquantum (better known as Squanto) visited the settlers. Squanto was a Wampanoag who had experience with other settlers and knew English. Squanto helped the settlers grow corn and use fish to fertilize their fields. After several meetings, a formal agreement was made between the settlers and the native people and they joined together to protect each other from other tribes in March of 1621.

The Celebration One day that fall, four settlers were sent to hunt for food for a harvest celebration. The Wampanoag heard gunshots and alerted their leader, Massasoit, who thought the English might be preparing for war. Massasoit visited the English settlement with 90 of his men to see if the war rumor was true. Soon after their visit, the Native Americans realized that the English were only hunting for the harvest celebration. Massasoit sent some of his own men to hunt deer for the feast and for three days, the English and native men, women, and children ate together. The meal consisted of deer, corn, shellfish, and roasted meat, far from today's traditional Thanksgiving feast." Regarding the thirty years of genocide on the population of French Indochina which began exactly one year after the liberation of Paris from the Nazis:

Regarding Almost every country in Latin America having reason to sue the US for reparations and most for wrongful death, injury, destruction of property and theft of natural resources; Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama, Mexico having suffered great loss of life most directly.

Regarding There Was No Libyan Peaceful Protest, Just Murderous Gangs and Nic Robertson

A standard of living that was higher than nine European nations, including Russia, is no more, thanks to CNN having daily led our entertainment with its war mongering of purposely distorted reporting, misreporting, disinformation, and blacking out of information that would have made this massive loss of human life impossible.
1. There were no peaceful protests!
2. CNN, covering the Danish Cartoons anniversary demonstration that was cooped with an announcement from London to make it into a "day of rage against Libyan leader Gaddafi,' showed us camera panning of a modest size crowd (mostly men) jumping up and down shouting against Gaddafi (not against Libya's high standard of living).
3. There were armed attacks on police stations (even traffic police) and vicious attacks on Chinese and Korea construction workers. ' Reuters and BBC reported executions of 50 captured Libyan soldiers, one beheaded, some hung along with police officers. And who knows how many ordinary Libyan civilians harmed by tough guys brought in to Benghazi and other Cyrenaican towns.
4. CNN showed a video of a small amount of people scattering, running at twilight, cell phone camera jerking around in confusion with the sound of shooting from completely unidentified sources.
5. While, very quickly, heavily armed insurgent gangs, always described as "ordinary citizens who had dropped their office jobs a few days before to fight for freedom,' were efficiently overrunning towns and airports, CNN's Cooper and Robertson kept excitedly exclaiming cities were being bombed from the air - civilians targeted - showing viewers the same single bomb crater in a field outside of a town for five days running as proof, though oddly admitting no one had been injured.
6. In less than 2 weeks came Obama's executive orders freezing Libyan accounts or confiscating Libyan accounts of billions of dollars acknowledges CIA involvement, prepares military action against "Gaddafi' (that would add a sixth Muslim nation to its bombing list of Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen and Pakistan. see:

In every single case of US mayhem (that if totaled up reaches many multi-holocaust proportions), civil war, fomented by the US itself, has been used as a pretext for unlawful barbaric criminal intervention by US Armed Forces, most often prepared by a corporate business dutiful CIA covertly using its far flung network of banks, media, double agents and cooperating NGOs."
The still adolescent USA, now quite globalized, has let the now neo-colonized people of majority mankind know over and over again, through merciless gunfire, missiles and drone assassinations, that they are prohibited from choosing their own government. Greeks, Koreans, Guatemalans, Iranians, Congolese, Vietnamese, Laotians, Cambodians, Dominicans, Salvadorians, Panamanians, Nicaraguans, Haitians and at one time or another, almost every other nation in Latin America, Iraqis Libyans, Afghanis have though calculated genocide, not been allowed to choose their own government. (An in depth investigation would show that Americans are also not allowed to choose their own government.)
Those US victim countries will have their day in court and compensation for wrongful death in the millions, injuries in the billions, destruction of property and theft of natural resources, when the USA loses it economic clout and is no longer able to punish with organized sanctions.
Again: Reader, check your degree of involvement! Have you believed in silly but vicious fairy tells of colonial powers being democratic and seeking democracy's spread? North America was stolen from its indigenous natives, Africans enslaved for their labor, half of Mexico raped away, a million Filipinos butchered for their land? Democratically? World Wars financed for such immense return as to make Wall Street the single world superpower.

How the Allied multinationals supplied Nazi Germany throughout World War II
Excerpts from "Trading With the Enemy: An Exposé of The Nazi-American Money-Plot 1933-1949" by Charles Higham; Hale , London, 1983.
Behind the patriotic propaganda that encouraged the working class to slaughter each other in the interests of competing national interests, international capital quietly kept the commodity circuits flowing and profits growing across all borders, trading with the enemy - war means business as usual for international capital.
Higham starts with an account of the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland - a Nazi-controlled bank presided over by an American, Thomas H. McKittrick, even in 1944. While Americans were dying in the war, McKittrick sat down with his German, Japanese, Italian, British and American executive staff to discuss the gold bars that had been sent to the Bank earlier that year by the Nazi government for use by its leaders after the war. This was gold that had been looted from the banks of Austria, Belgium, and Czechoslovakia or melted down from teeth fillings, eyeglass frames, and wedding rings of millions of murdered Jews.
But that is only one of the cases detailed in this book. We have Standard Oil shipping enemy fuel through Switzerland for the Nazi occupation forces in France; Ford trucks transporting German troops; I.T.T. helping supply the rocket bombs that marauded much of London ; and I.T.T. building the Focke-Wulfs that dropped those bombs. Long and shocking is the list of diplomats and businessmen alike who had their own ways of profiting from the war."
What would have happened if American and British people, struggling with coupons and lines at the gas stations, had learned that in 1942 Standard Oil of New Jersey managers shipped the enemy's fuel through neutral Switzerland and that the enemy was shipping Allied fuel? Suppose the public had discovered that the Chase Bank in Nazi-occupied Paris after Pearl Harbor was doing millions of dollars' worth of business with the enemy with the full knowledge of the head office in Manhattan? Or that Ford trucks were being built for the German occupation troops in France with authorization from Dearborn, Michigan? Or that Colonel before and after Pearl Harbor. A presidential edict, issued six days after December 7, 1941, actually set up the legislation whereby licensing arrangements for trading with the enemy could officially be granted.
Often during the years after Pearl Harbor the government permitted such trading. For example, ITT was allowed to continue its relations with the Axis and Japan until 1945, even though that conglomerate was regarded as an official instrument of United States Intelligence. No attempt was made to prevent Ford from retaining its interests for the Germans in Occupied France, nor were the Chase Bank or the Morgan Bank expressly forbidden to keep open their branches in Occupied Paris. And it is important to consider the size of American investments in Nazi Germany at the time of Pearl Harbor. These amounted to an estimated total of $475 million. Standard Oil of New Jersey had $120 million invested there; General Motors had $35 million; ITT had $30 million; and Ford had $17.5 million.
At the same time, the Du Ponts developed the American Liberty League, a Nazi organization whipping up hatred of blacks and Jews, love of Hitler, and loathing of the Roosevelts. Financed by Lammot and Irenee to the tune of close to $500,000 the first year, the Liberty League had a lavish thirty-one-room office in New York, branches in twenty-six colleges, and fifteen subsidiary organizations nationwide that distributed fifty million copies of its Nazi pamphlets. In September 1936, while Hitler at Nuremberg expressed his grand design for the Four-Year Plan, the Du Ponts and the American Liberty League poured thousands into backing Republican Alf Landon against Roosevelt in the election. Other backers were the American Nazi party and the German-American Bund.
The attempt to launch Landon failed, which made the Du Ponts hate Roosevelt even more. In outright defiance of Roosevelt's desire to improve working conditions for the average man, Knudsen of General Motors along with the Du Ponts instituted the speedup systems created by another prominent figure of The Fraternity, Charles Bedaux. These forced men to work at terrifying speeds on the assembly lines. Many died of the heat and the pressure, increased by fear of losing their jobs at a time when there were very few available. Irenee personally paid almost $1 million from his own pocket for armed and gas-equipped storm troops modeled on the Gestapo to sweep through the plants and beat up anyone who proved rebellious. He hired the Pinkerton Agency to send its swarms of detectives through the whole chemicals, munitions, and automobile empire to spy on left-wingers or other malcontents.
By the mid-1930s, General Motors was committed to full-scale production of trucks, armored cars, and tanks in Nazi Germany. The GM board could be guaranteed to preserve political, personal, and commercial links to Hitler. Alfred P. Sloan, who rose from president of GM to chairman in 1937, paid for the National Council of Clergymen and Laymen at Asheville, North Carolina, on August 12, 1936, at which John Henry Kirby, millionaire fascist lumbemman of Texas, was prominent in the delivery of speeches in favor of Hitler. Others present, delivering equally Hitlerian addresses, were Govemor Eugene D. Talmadge of Georgia and the Nazi Reverend Gerald L. K. Smith. Sloan frequently visited Berlin, where he hobnobbed with Goring and Hitler.

In 1960, GM received $33 million compensation in tax exemption on profits for damages caused to its aeroplane and motorized vehicle factories in Germany, Austria, Poland and China. ITT received $27 million damages, $5 million of which were for the Focke Wulff factory, American property bombed by allied planes. And Ford received just under $1 million for damage done to its military truck production lines in Cologne!

the 1980s, despite warnings by Africa specialists, human rights groups and humanitarian organizations that continued American aid to the dictatorial government of Siad Barre would eventually plunge Somalia into chaos. US poured in more than $50 million of arms annually to prop up this disastrous Barre dictatorship while offering virtually no assistance that would have helped build a self-sustaining economy which could feed Somalia's people. In addition, the United States pushed a structural adjustment program through the International Monetary Fund severely weakening the local agricultural economy. Combined with the breakdown of the central government, drought conditions and rival militias disrupting food supplies, there was famine on a massive scale, resulting in the deaths of more than 300,000 Somalis, mostly children.

On February 23, 2007, the New York Times reported that the US government had been secretly training Ethiopian soldiers for several years, in camps near the Ethiopia-Somalia border. Support for Ethiopia's invasion began after a failed CIA effort to arm and finance Somali "warlords."

The UN definition of genocide (recognized by 142 states) is:
""any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

The US has committed these acts many times over and in many different countries. Some people object that this is some watered down version of genocide that risks diluting the significance of this "ultimate crime". However, bear in mind that the victims of US armed violence are not usually combatants and even if they are they are not engaged in some sort of contested combat that gives them some ability to defend themselves or to kill or be killed. They are helpless as they die of incineration, asphyxiation, dismemberment, cancer, starvation, disease. People of all ages die in terror unable to protect themselves from the machinery of death. Make no mistake, that is what it is: a large complex co-ordinated machinery of mass killing.
