U.S Apology For Nuclear Weapons And Open Disclosure Of
Nuclear Weapons By Israel And Iran

By Mary Hamer

10 February, 2012
Countercurrents.org

*PURPOSE:  #1. Nuclear Weapons Honesty:  The purpose of this paper is to request the U.S. , Israeli & Iranian Governments & Military-industrial complex officials for full, open disclosure regarding their nuclear agendas. Only with honest talk can these 3 countries secure a peaceful, diplomatic solution to the Middle East conflict.  #2. NPT: Also, Can the U.S., Israel & Iran agree to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty?

*METAPHYSICAL QUESTION: Authenticity & Sincerity:

*Can the United States , Israel & Iran have Authenticity & Sincerity regarding Nuclear discussions? Can these 3 countries be genuine, have undisputed credibility & legitimacy regarding their Nuclear goals? (1) Can these 3 countries speak truthfully regarding their nuclear claims? (2) – Free from pretense, deceit or hypocrisy? (3)

* KEY SECTIONS: The Key Sections of this paper are: The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Definition. I. U.S. Apology for Nuclear Weapons. II. Israeli Nuclear Weapon Ambiguity. III . Iran's Covert Nuclear Weapons program. IV. Fukushima. V. Conclusion.

*NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFERATION TREATY:

*NPT: ”The Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT) of 1968 … is essentially … a treaty designed primarily to curb & ultimately to stop or rewind the proliferation of nuclear weapons.” (4)

*3 PILLAR SYSTEM: The NPT is a “Landmark international treaty whose objective is to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons & weapons technology, to promote cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy & to further the goal of achieving nuclear disarmament.” The 3 Pillars of the NPT include: #1. Non-Proliferation, #2. Disarmament. & #3. The right to peacefully use Nuclear technology. (5)

*PRESIDENT OBAMA: President Obama states regarding the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty: that: “All nations have a right to peaceful nuclear energy, (&) that nations with nuclear weapons have a responsibility to move toward nuclear disarmament & those without them have the responsibility to forsake them”. (6)

I. U.S. APOLOGY for NUCLEAR WEAPONS. A portion of a secret WikiLeaks cable revealed that: “In the Sept. 2009 cable, U.S. Ambassador to Japan John Roos (told) the Obama administration that Japan doesn't think it's a good idea for President Obama to visit Hiroshima or to Apologize for using an atomic bomb on 2 Japanese cities during World War II.” “White House spokesman Tommy Vietor says that while the administration does not comment on leaked cables, ‘There was never any plan for the President to apologize. The President's visit speaks for itself'”. (7) *Question: Wouldn't it be an honest & noble thing for the United States to Apologize to the world for the development & use of nuclear weapons against the human race? Perhaps such an apology would garner more respect for the United States ; Perhaps such an apology would discourage countries such as Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

*1 st COUNTRY to DEVELOP NUCLEAR WEAPONS & To Use them in WARFARE: “The United States was the 1 st country to develop Nuclear weapons & (it) is the only country to have used (Nuclear Weapons) in warfare, with the (2) bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki in World War II.” (8) As the 1 st country to develop Nuclear weapons & to use them in warfare, the United States has a moral responsibility to promote the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty including to Israel & Iran – as well as other countries in the world.

II. ISRAEL 'S NUCLEAR WEAPON AMBIGUITY.

*“Israel is widely believed to be the 6 th country in the world to have developed nuclear weapons & to be one of four nuclear-armed countries not recognized as a Nuclear Weapons State by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the others being India, Pakistan & North Korea.” “Former International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Mohamed ElBaradei regarded Israel as a state possessing nuclear weapons, but Israel maintains a policy known as ‘Nuclear ambiguity' (Nuclear opacity).” “ Israel has never officially admitted to having nuclear weapons”. (9) *Question: Why doesn't “ Israel join the NPT & open it's nuclear facilities to inspection” (by the IAEA)? (10)

III . IRAN'S COVERT NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM?

*Evidence for an Iranian Nuclear weapons program:

*IAEA: The “United Nations report released in November 2011 … (revealed that) The International Atomic Energy Agency released a trove of evidence that they said makes a ‘Credible' case that ‘Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of a Nuclear device' … The report said the IAEA had amassed ‘Over a thousand pages' of documents … showing ‘Research, development & testing activities' on a range of technologies that would only be useful in designing a nuclear weapon”. (11)

*MOUNTAIN SITE : ”Uranium enrichment is reported to have begun at the Fordo underground site near Qom ”. (12) Iran recently shifted it's “Uranium enrichment to a mountain bunker – possibly impervious to conventional bombing -- & refusal to negotiate peaceful guarantees for the program or open up to U.N. inspectors have raised fears about Iran 's (nuclear) ambitions”. (13)

*URANIUM ENRICHMENT: 20%: “Diplomats at the IAEA were quoted as saying that uranium at the site is being enriched to 20% -- much higher than the 3.5% usually required for nuclear plants. Enrichment to that level makes it much quicker & easier to make a nuclear bomb.” (14)

VI. FUKUSHIMA MILITARY NUCLEAR WEAPONS Program?:

*In my paper: Fukushima's Secret Radionuclides (15) I appealed to the Japanese & U.S. authorities to reveal the Truth about the Fukushima Level #7 Nuclear power accident that began in March 2011. I asked the Japanese & U.S. authorities if a Military Nuclear Weapons program existed at Fukushima ? *Regarding Nuclear reactor #4: Yoichi Shimatsu states: “The size of the (Unit 4) fire indicates that this reactor was running hot for some purpose other than electricity generation. It's omission from the list of electricity-generating operations raises the question of whether Unit 4 was being used to enrich uranium, the first step of the process leading to extraction of weapons-grade fissionable material.” (16) Can countries producing Nuclear technology for: “Peaceful purposes” be honest regarding any hidden Nuclear weapon programs?

V. CONCLUSION: In the Fukushima essay (17) I state that “Secrets are dangerous. Secrets are about Ego. Secrets are about Domination by a select, privileged, few people over the masses. Secrets endow those in power with a position of Superiority over Other inferior groups. People who have secrets may not live by the highest moral principles of doing the right thing, But may have Narcissistic hidden agendas -- at the expense of the masses.” May the United States, Israel & Iran be honest & give full, open disclosure regarding their Nuclear goals. Secrets are dangerous things in this Nuclear age.

Thank you. Respectfully & Humbly, Mary Hamer, M.D. U.S.A.
