There may be many interpretations of AAP’s victory but its one major fallout can be seen in the field of administrative efficiency where issue of corruption may take place precedence over other ones.
AAP is well decided to curb this socioeconomic evil which has penetrated India to the deepest level that it is now accepted as a common acceptable norm of human interaction. This is a sad commentary on a country which respects Mahatma Gandhi as its Father of Nation.
None is responsible for such state of affairs except political leadership. From briefcase corrupt politics of late 1960s to present age coat- tea shirt walk politics when Robert Vadra like fellows walk on the land with so much pomp that average Indian feels ashamed, why he or she was born so lowly with no connection with a family which was capable to get land rates inflated so swiftly and rapidly? From Haryana to Rajasthan Congress leadership was in his support. What a fun of democracy? This is a psychological problem of average Indians that inequality at every level have forced them to live with a psyche of total helplessness and guilt that they were without resources whereas corrupt leaders, bureaucrats and business persons have siphoned off money by making people fool, by threatening them or by getting work done in illegal manner. Corruption is therefore that evil which has inflicted Indian society in epidemic manner.
Here comes the answer of major cause of AAP’s victory. AAP won because it had given signal in 49 days regime that corruption could be eradicated. BJP failed on this count since the assumption of power there were only hollow talks of bringing black money. The zeal was lacking in Modi and his government to bring the black money back.
Finanace Minister failed to satisfy the people’s concern about the black money. His statements were on the line of previous government. People were disenchanted. Consequently people were enchanted towards Kejariwal. Thus BJP lost a battle of morality with Kejariwal. Kejariwal proved better crusader. Modi lost in oration too. His speaking was unbecoming of such a leader who was a darling of youth few months back. Young ones were not happy by his actions and statements. The corporate culture was expressive. Big cars, costly dresses were not taken up in good taste by the electorates.
AAP has shown the way. It has shown in which direction India may move. A corruption free India. An India where Police is not full of coercion. Inspite of SC directions Police reforms are dead. People in free India fear its own police. In a village or in a city people finds it very hard to deal police.
Why is it so?
It is so because none made efforts. Neither the Congress nor the BJP.
Indian needs a corruption free country. A country where they can live with dignity. BJP was given a chance when Congress failed. Now people have given a chance to AAP.
Hope it will not follow the path of other seniors in its political journey.
