The Third Global Revolution

By G. Asgar Mitha

Some 5000 yrs ago, the last remnants of a human civilization were drowned in the great deluge. We’re probably now in the second civilization that has thus far seen two global revolutions of a natural order to correct imbalances in society. The first of these revolutions took place at the peak of the Roman empire’s decadence and is termed the Christian revolution under Jesus Christ (SAW). The forces of evil were, then, stronger than the forces of good and the revolution’s natural objective was to reverse the two forces. Remarkably, while the decadence was in Rome and Europe, the revolution took its birth in Jerusalem where the empire had its eastern boundary. On the western boundary was Britain.

600 years later, the entire Middle East and the Eurasian regions were in a state of decadence and of moral, religious and social decay. So it was in Arabia, a desert region forgotten by man and time that God selected His messenger, Mohammed (SAW) to deliver and perfect the message of Islam. It was here that Arabia was destined to give birth to, and nurture, the second revolution albeit a peaceful one but not without sacrifices. The aspects of that revolution and its impact are well documented in the historical annals.

Both revolutions were not spontaneous but spanned a generation, which is 50 years. From the roots of that Islamic revolution by Mohammed (SAW) in Mecca and Medina to completion of the message on the Arabian Peninsula’s peripheries took 50 years. Soon thereafter the proliferation started to the farthest end of European west and Asian east. Similarly, the Christian revolution from its birth to the eastern and western boundaries of Palestine had taken 50 years and then proliferated west to the European boundary and into the heart of the Roman Empire.

There have been lesser revolutions throughout human history but the messages were delivered on regional, and not global scales. And when the messages went unheard, nature had to force reversals. No matter what, the divine message was and will always be identical: come to terms with nature willingly or else nature will dictate the terms unwillingly. Man has always been irrational and has chosen for nature to impose its terms.

So are there signs that a third revolution is soon to emerge? The current state of decadence and of moral, religious and social decay is globally far worse than it was before the Christian or the second but first Islamic revolution. Today, wrong is considered right and right as wrong. Those that yield power justify evil. Liars are commended and rewarded while the truthful are questioned and punished. Those that stand up to justice are silenced by their leaders and termed terrorists and driven from their homes. Poverty, hunger and disease are considered as the unfortunate lot of the majority. The rich and the powerful are unjustifiably using their wealth and sophisticated weapons to intimidate those who are without.

There are those that fear the revolution and are like the Romans and tribal leaders of pre-Islamic Arabia. Today’s despotic and corrupt leaders are no different. They desire domination through accumulation of wealth and by depriving the masses of their rights and of justice. They promote immorality, sensuality and ignorance. They’re themselves ignorant and attach no value to philosophy and use the sciences to promote evil in the form of weapons of mass destruction to threaten our civilization.

The Corporatoracy (mentioned in the book “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man” by John Perkins), which comprises an alliance of big governments, big banks and large corporations, are plotting for global dominance. Those who support the corporatocracy buy and blackmail politicians all over the world to achieve their goals.

The forces of nature are highly dynamic and, though not clearly visible in their dynamism, these forces are definitely working. Neither the human faculties nor the scientific tools devised by man can measure the true dynamism. Only nature can measure that dynamism and cause a reversal. Yet the signatures of the forces of nature can be understood when it is the intention to use humans to enforce a revolution or reversal in the imbalances caused not by nature but by mankind itself. The process of reversal or revolution requires the faculties, not in the ear and the eye but in the mind to intelligently gauge the dynamism.

What about those that are destined to lead the third and next Islamic revolution? The leader will be characterized by the true understanding of Islam as a way of life and not simply as a religion because the revolution is expected to touch humanity as was witnessed by the Christian and Islamic revolutions. The leader must be a great negotiator, truthful, learned, strategist, modern but yet possessing Islamic values, demand justice, refuse to be blackmailed into complacency by the Corportocracy and, should be morally and socially decent and extol simplicity. The leader or their proxies will demonstrate true jihad in the process, challenging and repelling the enemies of the revolution, unafraid of the consequences.

So what about the signs being manifested that the revolution is already born and being nurtured? It has to be in that particular region whose leadership is refusing to be blackmailed and that stand up to justice. It has to be in that region whose leadership has already declared the birth of the revolution, one of Islamic and not sectarian nature. Jesus and Mohammed declared revolutions in Jerusalem and Mecca. Those Muslims or non-Muslims that fear the revolution label it sectarian and wish its destruction at the hands of those that very well know that once the revolution is in full gear, they will be defeated.

The revolution will demand sacrifices and only those who know no fear will come forward to offer their personal sacrifices. Those that believed in the messages of Christianity and Islam made those sacrifices and, generally were the deprived and downtrodden lot.

The Islamic revolution like any other will be a movement to counter imbalances in the society but the inherent characteristic of the third revolution would be to foment it globally because the imbalances are not regional but global. Its objective will be to restore justice for those deprived of it, the unfortunate poor and hungry, the innocent and those that are downtrodden. Its other objective is to uproot the rich and the powerful, distribute wealth equitably, return right to right and evil to evil and, remove the moral, religious and social decay so prevalent in society today. And more importantly to prevent the complete annihilation of our civilization.

On a time scale, since the previous two revolutions spanned a generation to reach the regional peripheries, the third revolution could be completed in less than a generation considering the current speed of communication and disposal of such tools that did not exist 2000 or 1400 years ago. Those that consider this as an impossible task should look no further than prevailing achievements in space and communication technology advances over the last decade.

It is in the hubris of empires that leads to its profligacy. The empire pretends that in the psyche it is beyond all reprehension and possesses all rights to conduct all wrongs be they moral, social or religious. It takes on the role of Goliath and assumes that the David it encounters is just a mere blip (malfunction) on the screen. Empires loose all senses of reality and like those preceding them fades into history books. The twentieth century saw no less than half a dozen empires fade into history books from the Turkish at the beginning of the last century to the Soviet Union at the end of it. All these empires were felled in a mere century. Empires expand only to contract in the end. The American goliath like the Roman or the pre-Islamic Arabian tribal goliath stands alone and, is waiting for the David with a simple but deadly sling.

Those that do not learn from history’s mistakes are destined to repeat them.
