Lies, Lies, Lies And More Lies

By Nesreen Melek

28 August, 2013
Countercurrents.org

Lies, lies, lies and more lies and more people don’t believe...

Lies, lies and more lies and the innocent Syrians will pay the price the Iraqis paid when the killers launched their ugly war on Iraq a few years ago

Lies, lies and more lies and the whole world forgot that the Americans used illegal weapons which caused death, cancer and deformation in Iraq

Lies, lies and more lies forgetting that the Iraqi doctors in Fallujah have complained since 2005 of being overwhelmed by the number of babies with serious birth defects ranging from a girl born with two heads to paralysis of the lower limbs

Lies, lies and more lies and remembering that the invasion of Iraq was about the oil and not about protecting the Iraqis. It was not about democracy or about improving the Iraqis lives. The Iraqi lives are much worse now than before the invasion. There is no security, no clean water, no electricity and Iraqis are living in a daily horror

Lies, lies and more lies and not forgetting how the Americans treated the Iraqis in Abou Ghraib, dragging prisoners with ropes, piling their nude bodies in pyramids, sexually harassing them and treating them worse than animals

Lies, lies and more lies and Abeer’s body was burnt after she was raped by a few American soldiers, then they burnt her house to cover their crimes

Lies, lies and more lies and Obama stands in front of the world claiming that “the Unites States opposes the use of violence and repression against the people in the region” not admitting that his troops used violence against Iraqi civilians and other civilians around the world

Lies, lies and more lies when the Americans and their allies supported dictators around the world, sold them weapons, profited from killing innocent people, and when they finished their business with them claimed that they were fascist and destroyed their countries

Lies, lies and more lies and the Americans keep pretending that they are the saviors of the world but they are not

I am speechless, no words I could use to describe my pain about my people and the Syrians who will suffer because of the big liars and the killers who are controlling the world.

I am sad because I can’t do anything or the people I know could.

I am angry because we couldn’t stop them before and we will not be able to stop them now.

I wish I could visit the shrine of Sayidah Zaineb now before it will be destroyed, hold the crypt as I held the crypt in el Kadum in Baghdad a few years ago.. put my head and cry for the pain of the Iraqis, the future pain of the Syrians.. Scream as I haven’t screamed before to wake up the whole world from the deep sleep and ask them to do something about the injustice the American and their allies are committing toward the innocent people around the world ..Shout in the ears of the people who don’t want to listen that it is all Lies, lies and more lies
