How does your food taste? Sumptuous?
I toiled for your food - hungry and broken
My soul lost its worth as rain trickled down my thatched house
I am sorry I asked my due
I am sorry I asked for my right
Forgive me I died in your capital city
pristine and beautiful
Muddled by my life struggling out of my body
Do not worry my soul died too long ago
My life lived on; taken by your apathy
Blame no one;
'
tis I who is to blame
I had faith in my government
I had faith in this society
No one failed me but my faith
as I hang on a tree
dead and gone
I will disappear soon from your memory
But, I do hope your lunch had all its flavour.
