9/11 Revisited:
The US A Victim
And A Testbed?

I am
a product of 9/11. I landed at Heathrow airport that morning and my
world would never be the same again. By 2pm, my cousin in London woke
me up with the news that the Twin Towers had crashed. I burst out laughing.
I thought it was a prank over Kuala Lumpurs Twin Towers. A catatonia
of disbelief took over when I switched on the TV. It riveted me for
hours. I could feel the anger welling up; seeing in person the culmination
of Islamic trends from top down. From the treatment of minorities to
the call for Jihad.
On Sept 12, a bus
was ferrying me to the University of Leeds, where I would be studying
propaganda, psyops, crisis and security-related matters. They were subjects
that could be applied to anything, including ways to fatten up your
employers bank account.
That bus journey
perhaps never quite ended. While it veered through a scenic England,
one that I wanted to behold since a child, my eyes were glued to the
Times.
Journeys can be
winding, and along that route of stumbling blocks and blocked trails,
one could be forced to take the path of peril, where the junk of disinformation
has to be discarded for a sliver of a fighting chance. Stooges of power
can follow the path to destruction.
Along that journey,
9/11 was seen as an Islamic product, and not just of the fundamentalist
variant. It was an opinion shared by many which the politically correct
media omits. A little further down the path, the US, led by a Crawford
Cowboy, was to be blamed for this fiasco. Then Iraq replaced Al Qaeda.
Saddam Hussein,
and his large army were taken out more easily then a bunch of terrorists,
once supported not only by the US but Europe and Islamic nations during
that Jihad against Moscow. Many capitals, from London to Kuala Lumpur,
wanted the Red Menace beaten back. They are playing a similar game now.
Never forget that. This is not a Texan rodeo show.
In the meantime,
as the journey progressed, Osama bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahiri, and Mullah
Muhammad Omar vanished into the sands of Afghanistan. No pilgrim can
find them, though some act of restitution need to be committed soon
to mollify an increasingly suspicious global public.
And here is where
the journey takes an unexpected turn. The anti-war drums of Old Europe
are becoming silent; a damp squib stands a better chance in drawing
attention. And that part of the world immersed in Asian Values
makes Fox News look like a parody for our entertainment.
Why?
Historically, there
is nothing new under the sun. To perpetuate power, you need to create
a bogey, an other side, rendering a malleable, moveable
herd that condones mass slaughter, provided they arent the victims.
When they do, the remaining herd propels the same historical impulse.
They could cheer
on when Christians were being torn apart by lions in Old Rome. They
stood by when the Nazis were gassing Jews and Gypsies in Old Europe.
During that 2,000 year gap, the slaughter continued.
And they are silent
as Americans vent their disgust over the Bush administration. Isnt
this the best time to extricate the US out of its war madness?
The United States
was essentially a European creation. Its society was a testbed for something
called the New World Order. That is not a conspiracy theory; that term
is found on official US emblems, inspired by Old Europe. When the US
was formed, Old Europe had its vast colonies and it needed a prosperous,
mobile citizenry to rule those colonies. Power relents when profit rolls.
Stability was needed on home soil. When colonies go, society has to
be reordered into tiered units of labor. That cant be done easily,
not overnight.
First you need to
strike the fear of hell - consistently - and people will relent. There
are now anti-terrorist measures springing up all over Europe. This is
the same Europe that had introduced detentions without trial, extrajudicial
executions, limited freedom of speech and national ID cards for societal
control, decades back in their colonies. The excuse was law and order,
and guess what? Terrorism! Local tyrants like this aspect of the colonial
legacy. Its especially bad in Islamic countries. They dont
care about any rights except the right to rule, all tutored and propped
by Old Europe, and later through the United States.
This 9/11 journey
takes another twist. What is Old Europes role in this war on terror?
The stupidity of the Bush administration - the latest fiasco being Hurricane
Katrina - reveals a distinct lack of mooring in its foreign policies
and interventions. You really cant fight a major war with your
backyard left vulnerable. For one, thats where terrorists can
strike.
Who controls US
foreign policy while dissembling concerns over human rights, human dignity,
and humans? How could a nation of many smart citizens have a retarded
foreign policy?
Power is perpetuated
through instruments. The United States can be used to consign ten of
thousands of its men, and later women, to their deaths in distant wars.
The UN can help along when soccer spectators are massacred in Haiti.
Here is a question
Americans should ask Neo-Cons and their politicians: Screw your patriotism,
your kill Hugo Chavez for Christ, and your babbles of freedom.
Whose foreign
stooge are you?
For, at the rate
we are heading, the historical impulse to create a mass, well-oiled
units of labor will inevitably reach its desired culmination. The US
and the colonies were the first laboratories.
Next stage? Well,
social security, welfare and personal freedom are being stripped down
in Europe. Its surveillance superstructure is being beefed up.
Only Al Qaeda is missing from the radar, though it provided the excuse.
Patsies will die as surely as the sun rises while virgins await their
martyred heroes.
The European elite
cannot quite understand the likes of Cindy Sheehan in their treasured
laboratory. The US has a dialectical history that no advanced nation
can match. It is peopled by descendants of those fled the tyranny of
elite oppression. The battle for our future may well be fought by the
men, women, and - if there are any - brave politicians of the United
States.
If this battle is
not fought, God help us all.
Go get them. Sink
the Bismarck!
