Martin Luther King Jr. would have been moved by the occupation of Wall Street. He condemned Wall Street's wars maintaining "unjust overseas predatory investments"
King condemned the 'unjust overseas predatory investments all around the world that US wars and covert CIA attack are meant to maintain.'
In his two brave, world-shocking sermons of 1967, Beyond Vietnam - a Time to Break Silence and Why I Am Against the War in Vietnam (which surely cost him his life), King identified examples of this on every continent, naming countries and citing American overt and covert military involvement.
King put his finger on the source and reason for all the US wars on vulnerable nations in Asia, Arabia, Africa and Latin America (in previous centuries, also militarily occupied and plundered by Europe and the U.S. investment houses).
Everyone knows these "unjust predatory" investments are not investments of the American government but of powerful consortiums of private investors speculating in the lives, lands and resources of the targeted peoples of the third world already disadvantaged by centuries of homicidal colonial exploitation.
King saw the connection between racist wars for money overseas and economic and political war against the poor minorities at home. He saw both are made possible by Wall Street investor control and manipulation of America's elections through its investor owned media.
"This government has been owned by a financial element since the days of Andrew Jackson," wrote Franklin Delano Roosevelt to Senator, and Secretary of State to be, Cordell Hull.
King saw that society is not free to manage its resources, as its resources and habitats are in private hands, or corporations, privately controlled.
He saw that humanity is blocked from governing itself humanely - that the United States has long been governed by the elite of an international community of super wealthy speculating investors who early on co-opted a significantly critical portion of the commonweal and gained control of the political life of almost the entire planet through unfair trade - at the point of guns.
Yet peace and justice movements for nearly two hundred years have been dedicated exclusively to protesting or criticizing the policies of governments, as if governments were not owned and controlled by financiers.
Peace movements have helped media (also owned and controlled by financiers), to keep everyone talking about what the president thinks and what the president and congressmen are doing in order to keep the heat off, and light from shining on the likes of Rockefeller and Morgan.
Until recently, peace and justice organizations by dealing soley with government, have given credence to the deception that governments are not the handmaiden of the privately controlled investment community where real power and important decision emanate.
Wall Street controlled electronic and print media cartel of interlocking conglomerates has kept its audience unawares of most all the nefarious activities of powerful investors for more than a century. How many people know that World War Two and the Holocaust would not have been possible without huge and profitable investments in the rise of low wage Nazi Germany by most of America's wealthy led by Rockefeller, Ford, Dupont, Prescott Bush and hailed by Joe Kennedy?
Today's ongoing peoples occupation of Wall Street is a sign that many Americans are now awaking to what King awoke to 40 year earlier. One poster-sign being held up brokerage firm official looking down at the demonstrators reads "NAZI BANKERS."
Occupy Wall Street organizers are saying, why complain to congressmen when you can complain to the financial backers they are beholden to obey? Why beg the President when you can make trouble for the Wall Street VIPs that own him?
Soon, perhaps a critical mass of the public will awaken to what King awoke to. There is now an international initiative promoting the use of Rev. King's words and his image as a catalyst for unity:

Some are still going to Washington to protest to the servants of Wall Street, but KIng Would be Marching on Wall St. Where Wars Are Made - Not in Washington.
Washington, the beautiful home of Congress, White House, Supreme Court, and nearby Pentagon and CIA, institutions, which for a more than a century work to serve the interests of the elite leadership of the international community of private investment, while absorbing and deflecting public criticism and complaint in a charade of constitutionality blazoned in corporate conglomerate owned mass media.
