Delhi People's Wise Verdict

Delhi people gave wise verdict in the elections. They gave marvelous majority to the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and defeated Congress and BJP party. AAP won 67 seats out of 70 seats. Congress did not win a single seat. BJP confined to only three seats. In these elections Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wonderful strategist, Apara Chanukya, Amit Sha, Central Ministers, MPs, MLAs and Sangh Parivar put all their efforts to win in the Delhi elections. But their efforts did not achieve above single digit seats. People particularly poor people realized that BJP is only for rich persons and AAP party serves the poor. Their aspirations for better days and hope brought full majority to the AAP.
Modi party rule is the prime cause for this situation. After winning in the general elections this party forgot all its promises. At general elections time Modi described him as ‘Chaaywala’ after coming to power he worked against interests of poor He cut the rights of the labourers for the profits of the industrialists. He proved as the best servant of the corporate companies and became ‘Corporatewala’
Modi increased train charges after coming to the power. At that time Modi colleagues described them that they had guts to take bold decisions. Immediately they put the discussion on Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNERGS) and reduced its budget. Actually this is the first scheme which influenced lives and livelihoods of the crores of people in the country. It provides livelihoods to the crores of poor across the country. This scheme reduced migration from rural to urban at a reasonable level and enhanced the living stranded of people. This is the only one scheme behind the increase of wages in the rural areas. Though this scheme did not well designed according to the needs of the poor in rural areas and there are many issues in this scheme implementation, it became hope of the poor. BJP leaders did not want this scheme they require cheap labourers to their smart cities and companies. They want to reduce welfare budget by cutting poor people welfare schemes not corporate concessions. So they reduce budget for MGNERGS and confined it only to the backward mandals / blocks in the country.
Modi government brought ‘Srameva Jayathi’ program to curtail workers rights which were the results of the centuries of workers struggles. Modi wants to clear all the ‘obstacles’ including workers rights to make more profits to the industrialists because they invested crores of money on Midi in elections to serve their interests. Modi proved his loyalty to the industrialists in Gujarat.
Presently Modi brought New Land Law, 2014 which violates minimum rights of the famers. Earlier Land Law assured rights by placing clause to condition of 70% to 80% of the farmers consent at time of displacement of their lands for the companies, development programs. This clause provided space to achieve reasonable compensation from the companies. But it depends on their struggles. Modi brought this ‘New Land Law’ with an undemocratic way by bypassing Parliament. He is very committed and clever and he also hurry in bringing anti –people Acts to serve the interests of the corporate owners. But he did not find time to save the crores of farmers’ lives which have been influencing by the agriculture crisis for three decades. But he has time to grab farmers’ lands in the name of development for corporate companies. BJP leaders came to the stage that they can deceive people by their cleverness and efficiency with the support of corporate media.
In general election time Modi promised to eradicate corruption. But after coming to the power he took corrupted people like Yeddurappa into his party higher level committee. He gave seats to the corrupt and criminal people in the elections. Present the policies which are implementing by Modi government were earlier opposed by the Modi party. In a very short period Modi government became popular by the tag ‘U-turn Government.
In general elections people gave great majority to Modi with the hope of better days. Because the Congress government made people lives vulnerable with limitless corruption and price increase. People suffered with unemployment and lack of basic needs. They thought that Modi could solve their problems and made their lives better. In general elections times he also promised to work for the betterment of the poor. After coming to the power Modi is working with commitment to bring welfare to the corporate owners only and left poor people interests. People also realized that Modi is not their person and he works for rich people. Though they recognized this fact, BJP leaders did not take it serious because of their hope on rich and middle class support and corporate media support. They created unrest situation by making irresponsible statements and strategic actions for their political interests. These increase tense situation between different communities.
People verdict reflects the anger on mainstream ruling and opposition parties and their aspiration to the alternative parties. People have lot of hopes and aspirations on AAP. It is critical to AAP fulfill the aspirations of the people. AAP particularly Kejriwal has to change his work style and learn from people, organizations and experts to practice good governance. Maoists are not ready to recognize the importance of elections which people is taking it as important tool to change their lives. It has its relevance and space for new interventions. This time left did not play minimum role in the Delhi elections. These elections are good example. People can elect even small parties if those parties shown commitment to the welfare of people and assure hopes.
