Justice: A Short Conversation

By Kashoo Tawseef

Different nations and systems that exist in today's world are based on some sort of principle or framework, but the underlying fact is that if any such nation or system is based on justice, then only one expects good results out of it, otherwise it is not going to last for long, and history is witness, how such nations and systems collapse as, Malcolm-X, once said, “I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it's for or against.” Excerpts of a short conversation with my friend over a cup of tea, here is what he thinks:

Q: What is the principle of success of a nation or system?

A: When a system is based on justice, all state of affairs of such a system work efficiently and smoothly.

Q: What happens when there is injustice?

A: When there is injustice based on colour, race, religion et cetera, you can't expect good out of that system.

Q: How important is the deliverance of justice?

A: Deliverance of justice is very important, as they say “Justice delayed is Justice denied,” so if justice is delivered on time that also helps to build the societies and systems.

Q: How important is humanity?

A: When there is no humanity, you can't preach lessons of anything, even lessons of religion or argue or even convince someone towards religion.

Q: How can a ruler be just?

A: When rulers and leaders treat its population as his/her brethren then only he/she will be able to do justice, and when there is s gap between the two, don't expect much from such nation or a system.

Q: Can you impose your opinion on others?

A: You can't impose or force you opinion on others unless your argument is based on rationality, unless you make others understand, what's good about your opinion, and when you know yours argument and system is based on justice, you have a lot good to explain.

Thanks for your time.
