We are happy to invite you to join us for the ‘FREEDOM FESTIVAL 2016’. It is an opportunity to convert and converge beyond all parameters of fear. The occasion is to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of the champion of freedom Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. It is not only a means to express ourselves from the Ambedkarian (indigenous) perspective but also an opportunity to rediscover the real sense and meaning of freedom in the quest for a better and progressive Indian society. Freedom as development and development as freedom are vice-verse and this is the philosophical postulation of any ideal of any inclusive nation. It is in this critical context, where the threats and challenges of individual and community freedom have crossed all legitimate limits, we are inclined to revisit the fundamentals of freedom from the perspective of marginalised sections. The idea is to evolve a different knowledge mechanism on freedom itself, beyond the rhetoric of the current debates in India.
