Countercurrents.org Fundraising Event In London On 27th February

The event is a Benefit-Party to raise funds for www.countercurrents.org an alternative, online magazine that champions ‘Freedom of Press, lnformation and Expression’ publishing fact finding reports, analyses, news items, experiences, academic debates, campaigns, research papers and major issues from around the world.

Funded entirely by its readers and fundraising events.

JOIN US and join Countercurrents.org ‘Give Voice to the Voiceless’.

Performance & stand up artist - Simon Miles will co-host an evening of ‘live’ music, DJ, performance, dance, poetry and film together with broadcaster & film maker - Diana Mavroleon.

THE PERFORMANCES: sculptural steel cello by Adrian Palka. Alchemical dance troupe - Pet’s People. Singer-song writers – Noamie Du Cimetiere, Honey Birch and Madeleine Smith. Egyptian dance by Petronella. Poetry & Spoken Word from Neil Oram, Denis Quilligan and Niall McDevitt. Scottish bagpipes by Dave Brooks. Electronic music by Vahkan Matossian. James Barralet plays works by Rabindranath Tagore and John Mayer on cello. Puppetry & music by Puppet Planet. Rock duo - Denis Quilligan & Mardi. Short films by Diana Mavroleon. Humming Orchestra with Sergio Lopez Figueroa. Performances from Simon Miles and Diana Mavroleon. DJ – Robinson.

The HlVE is an independent social space facilitated by the not-for-profit company RESPACE Projects - enabling the temporary use of empty buildings for social good.
