Countercurrents.orgSince the 9/11 atrocity (3,000 innocent victims horribly murdered) the world has been brainwashed by the evil Bush Administration into accepting a “War on Terror” that is both semantically absurd (how do you conduct a war on a feeling?) and operationally obscene - the post-invasion excess mortality (avoidable mortality) in Coalition-occupied Iraq and Afghanistan now totals 2.1 million and the post-invasion under-5 infant mortality 1.7 million (carnage utterly IGNORED by lying mainstream media).
IN ACTUAL REALITY there IS a War on Terra, a war being waged against Planet Earth (Terra) by Anglo-American Empire and its SPACEMEN (Super Prosperous Anglo-Celtic Empire MEN). This ACTUAL War on Terra is the one-sided war of UK-US Empire against defenceless Gaia (planetary homeostasis) and equally defenceless infants and their mothers who are overwhelmingly MUSLIM i.e. in effect, in its primary deadly consequences this is a War on Muslim Women and Children.
Science fiction fans are familiar with the theme of aliens waging War on Terra (the planet Earth) - a theme started by H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds" (1898) and subsequently re-run in Orson Welles' famous, panic-inducing 1938 radio broadcast, Byron Haskin's 1953 movie and Steven Spielberg's 2005 blockbuster of the same name.
The 5-century resource-driven European war against the non-European world has now culminated in what is effectively a War on Terra conducted by US Empire and SPACEMEN (Super Prosperous Anglo-Celtic Empire Men). The consequences of the War on Terra are horrendous in terms of (a) global excess mortality (avoidable mortality) and infant mortality and (b) global warming and possibly irretrievable damage to planetary homeostasis (Lovelock's Gaia). (a) THE WAR ON TERRA & GLOBAL EXCESS MORTALITY
POST-1950 GLOBAL EXCESS (AVOIDABLE MORTALITY) now totals 1.3 billion for the world, 1.2 billion for the non-European world and 0.6 billion for the Muslim world - a Muslim Holocaust 100 times greater than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (6 million victims) or the "forgotten" WW2 man-made Bengal Famine in British-ruled India (4 million victims and a 1941-1951 demographic deficit of over 10 million).
INFANTS are the major victims - thus post-1950 under-5 infant mortality totals 0.88 billion for the world, 0.85 billion for the non-European world and 0.4 billion for the Muslim world. EUROPEAN ADULTS have not escaped the carnage. Thus the ANNUAL deaths from drug-related causes total 7 million with the break-down being 5 million (smoking-related causes; annual market $1,000 billion), 1.8 million (alcohol-related causes; annual market $900 billion) and 0.2 million (illicit drugs; annual market $800 billion). Since 2001, 0.4 million have died from opioid drugs, mostly due to the US-led Coalition restoration of the Taliban-destroyed Afghan opium industry and including about 1,200 Scots, 2,000 Australians, 3,000 Canadians, 3,000 Britons and 50,000 Americans.
(b) WAR ON TERRA, GLOBAL WARMING & GAIA MORBIDITY
Global warming is a reality according to an overwhelming international scientific consensus. According to NASA, 2005 was the hottest year for a century (http://www.nasa.gov/vision/earth/environment/2005_warmest.html). According to James Lovelock's latest book, "The Revenge of Gaia" (Penguin, London, 2006), global warming may have already irretrievably damaged the self-regulated homeostasis of the biosphere (Gaia) (http://comment.independent.co.uk/commentators/article338830.ece). The US and Australia are the world's worst greenhouse gas producers per capita and both refuse to sign the Kyoto Protocol (http://www.tai.org.au/WhatsNew_Files/WhatsNew/Percapita070802.pdf and http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/06/18/1087245110190.html).
Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity. To save Earth (Terra) and to stop the carnage (30,000 infants dying EVERY DAY world-wide, about 90% AVOIDABLY), decent, ordinary Terrans (Earthlings) need to (a) INFORM OTHERS and (b) ACT ETHICALLY in ALL their personal and business dealings with those responsible for the War on Terra.
Just as SPORTING BOYCOTTS and SANCTIONS were ultimately successful against the racist, White minority régime in Apartheid South Africa, so such measures may be effective against the SMALL, SIGNIFICANT, VULNERABLE and HIGHLY COMPLICIT players in the UK-US Empire e.g. Australia, Denmark and Israel. CRUCIALLY, Americans and Britons must VOTE OUT those responsible for the War on Terra. What is at stake is urgent elimination of the largely avoidable deaths of about 30,000 infants DAILY around the world and the very survival of a Spaceship Earth with tolerable circumstances for humanity.
