Why America's Democratic And Economic Policies Are Failing

By G. Asgar Mitha

14 October, 2008
Countercurrents.org

I'd comprehended that the American capitalistic system and subsequently the so called western democracy was bound to fail. Not immediately but that is a matter of time. My article "Is American Capitalism Doomed to Fail?" had appeared on Counter Currents on October 13, 2007 (http://www.countercurrents.org/mitha131007.htm ). Why did I believe so? I've always maintained that:

-War economies cannot thrive forever. America's was a perpetual war economy.

-Greed is like termites. It eats the human mind and soul.

-Credit economies have to collapse. It cannot sustain.

-A nation of gamblers becomes unproductive.

-Wealth should not be concentrated in the hands of few. American policy makers created a system where the distribution of wealth was not fair.

The warning signs and the strains on the American economy had started showing cracks since 2004 but it was only last year that I became convinced that American capitalism is doomed to fail. Now the US and their western and Muslim allies who've the blood of innocent women and children killed deliberately in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan are in dire conditions. America was built on a solid foundation prepared by the hard labour of immigrants fleeing persecution and a leadership of principles and values among which was democracy. That foundation was destroyed by the Zionists and capitalists 20 years ago and rebuilt by them on a foundation of lies and fabricated computerised economic and war models. Still today the American leadership continues in a state of denial unwilling to admit their mistakes.

There is nothing wrong with capitalism so long as the objectives are honest to benefit mankind. The objective of American capitalism, as it now has become, is to create wealth in the hands of those few who are greedy, have no scruples, principles, values and conscience, who tap market forces to loot the unfortunate many and finally go out and indiscriminately massacre and murder anywhere and everywhere so that they can exhaust their inventory of weapons of mass destruction and replenish these with even more deadlier ones. After the fall of Communism in the last decade of the twentieth century, PNAC (Project for the New American Century) and Israeli’s powerful AIPAC lobby turned its attention towards creating an enemy. The Zionists prepared the American blueprint for subjugating Muslims and eliminating a potential system that could challenge the American hegemony. They feared Islam. By creating a mania of terrorism and pretext of democracy, America and its western allies attacked and occupied Afghanistan and Iraq and pursued a policy of threats on Iran. Not content, it has recently turned its attention on Pakistan. Hand in glove, Israel too has unleashed terrorism on Gaza and the West Bank. That is all now backfiring on the US and Europe and in the process Israel will become insecure. America and its allies do not have the ability to keep fighting on too many fronts at the same time.

America and the west will have to vacate Iraq and Afghanistan within the next 3 years. Which will be first? By all counts, Afghanistan will be first as America’s Saudi friends have already been instructed to open up a dialogue with the Taliban to share the government with Karzai. Taliban know they will win ultimately so they are in no mood to join the corrupt government of Karzai. Iraq is too great a prize to abandon now as by doing so, Iran will quickly fill in the vacuum not only in Iraq but in the entire Muslim world. In the process of vacating the occupied territories the US will definitely abandon and withdraw their support for the corrupt propped-up Muslim leaders like Zardari, Hamid Karzai, Mahmood Abbas, Hosni Mubarak and Nouri Al-Maliki and many others. These leaders will all try to flee their people's wrath after the US leaves behind a vacuum. The Muslims have been repressed, persecuted and oppressed too long and have stopped believing in the lies of democracy. For a time there could be anarchy in Muslim countries.

There is a saying that when you're going uphill, you'll meet the people coming downhill. Even if they stop and tell you what’s at the top, they will not be believed but their faces won't lie. Did not Russia warn America not to tread near the mountains of Afghanistan? Did not the British remember that they lost the great game in Afghanistan? But after all the warnings, the Zionists convinced America’s policy makers that all that was then but what matters now is America is not Soviet Union and neither is it an island. America is rich and America is powerful. Many mainstream American historians, politicians and economists warned America but they were removed from the Administration and the Zionists had deeply penetrated it.

The western capitalism and democracy will be replaced by a new system but only after a great upheaval that will engulf the world and rout our civilization. We're now headed into a multi-polar world. American hegemony has been contained. Iran will be the only Muslim country that will share the emerging world order with China, Russia, India, Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela. America and Europe, nevertheless, will continue to be a part of the multi-polar world but their voices alone will not prevail. And as the new world order is being shaped, could it lead to a clash of civilizations?

George W. Bush has struck down Posse Comitatus, an act that had has limited the government’s power to use the military for law enforcement, and he has threatened Congress and Senate on various occasions and weakened the middle class American backbone by creating a super-wealthy class and another class of unproductive wasters and gamblers. He has damaged American credibility at home and all over the world through lies and deception. America has no friends left. America, thanks to Bush, is no longer the democracy that he has lectured the rest of the world about. And Americans and west can thank him for an economy he has started to destroy, leaving behind mountains of debts for several generations to come. Can a nation addicted to gambling pay off those debts?

Communism, capitalism and socialism have failed in the past two centuries. And what will replace them? As the new multi-polar world order is being shaped, time will provide that answer.
