Americans do not celebrate Martin Luther King, trouble maker for the amoral predatory private investment community of the wealthy who condemned the criminal wars necessary to it's profits and power over us, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, condemner of America's "atrocity wars all meant to maintain unjust predatory investments overseas" and dismissive of his gov. as "the greatest purveyor in the world." But they will soon!
This weekend Americans do not celebrate the birthday of the Martin Luther King Jr., the dangerous trouble maker for the amoral predatory private investment community of the wealthy, the who King condemned the criminal wars necessary to it's profits and power over us.
Again this year's holiday weekend, few remember the mature Martin Luther King Jr., anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, condemner of America's "atrocity wars and covert violence, all meant to maintain unjust predatory investments overseas" and dismissive of his government as "the greatest purveyor in the world." King told us to “Look across the seas and see individual capitalists of the West investing huge sums of money in Asia, Africa, and South America, only to take the profits out with no concern for the social betterment of the country. This is a role our nation has taken, … refusing to give up the privileges and the pleasures that comes from the immense profits of overseas investments. This is not just.” "This is the role our nation has taken ...by refusing to give up the privileges and the pleasures that come from the immense profits of overseas investment." [Sermon Beyond Vietnam.][2]
Oh, some antiwar folks might call attention to how King condemned his own government as the greatest purveyor of violence in the world, thinking it supports their blaming the government for everything. But King ended his world shaking sermon, Beyond Vietnam a Time to Break Silence holding himself and all Americans responsible for what he called "US atrocity wars and covert violence meant to maintain unjust predatory investments overseas." King held Americans, himself included, responsible for the criminal wars and covert violence on three continents he described, for being fully capable of making them unacceptable and inoperable through non-participation, non-support and non-cooperation.[2]
When this is pointed out to them, antiwar activists generally insist, 'We can't blame the American people. They and we are innocent. It is the officials in government who we protest to that are to blame.' (Dr. King is not here to answer them.)[3]
No, as usual, Americans honor a Martin Luther King Jr. that King himself anguished over having once been, a preacher who for years did not speak out against what he would come to call in 1967, an "atrocity war in Vietnam," and bitterly warn that such "silence is betrayal!"
None of us will remember or at least none of us is supposed to remember, and a great many peace and justice advocates hope we won't remember, that King demanded we stop killing poor people in their own beloved counties all around the world BEFORE we try to fix things up at home in a society that spends it men, time and money murdering to maintain Wall Street's investments. And he said it couldn't be done the other way around.
Yours truly would like to have heard activist devoting their time and energy to domestic causes say to King's face, 'No, Dr. King, we don't have a moral priority to first stop Americans from continuing to mass-murder the poor overseas before we tackle injustice and social problems in America, including problems of those of us returning from taking lives in other people countries. Our housing, health, wages, sexual freedom, cost of college, is just as important as the lives of people we kill overseas.'[3]
Those of us who note King's anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-war teaching know that King is an even more meaningful hero for all humanity, the greater part of which, America seems to be constantly at war with, than King is for people in the US as a champion leader of anti-racism.
For forty-four years corporate owned mass-media praised King the brave civil rights leader to the absolute exclusion of King's condemnation of US wars and foreign policy in favor of business interests and investments. Something that points to the most powerful financial circles having had the greatest motive to stop King from arousing the people against the wars and other iniquities created a by government owned by Wall Street's forceful investors. A Memphis jury's verdict on December 8, 1999, in the wrongful death lawsuit of the King family versus Loyd Jowers "and other unknown co-conspirators," found that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated by a conspiracy that included agencies of his own government. Private investor owned mass-media downplayed this court verdict into obscurity, just as it had done earlier with convicted killer James Earl Ray concluding trial statement that he did not agree with FBI head J. Edgar Hoover and US Attorney General Ramsey Clark opinion that there was no conspiracy involved.
In any case that bullet shot into King's head made sure he would not prosecute in the street the US illegal and criminal wars and covert action on three continents as he had successfully prosecuted in the street the illegal and criminal racist crimes until they were stopped and began to be prosecuted in courts.
In 1967, Martin Luther King condemned the massive US crimes against humanity that most Americans were not seeing as such. Knowing from experience that the financial element ruling society owned the judges on the courts, both national and international, King must have felt constrained to merely demand, although with great fire in his voice, that "everyone must protest." that "silence was betrayal."
But during that year before he himself was silenced, after being vilified by corporate owned mass media as a traitor (with intention to reduce his popularity through intimidation), King witnessed a whole panoply of military actions illustrating those crimes against humanity by Americans, in the name of all Americans, as continuing and increasing in number, volume and spread. The cruel invasion of the Dominican Republic to prevent the re-installation of their popular elected president deposed the year before by military coup was the most recent.
King Would Have Stopped Vietnam and today's wars as He Stopped Segregation!
King, and other activists, coming out of the civil rights movement and turning their attention to Vietnam, were realizing that there was already a body of laws, humane laws, on the books that clearly spoke to US invasions, bombings and and CIA activity as crimes against humanity. These were clear and simple laws, protective laws, unlike the weird, tricky and phony laws that had enforced a segregation so contrary to common law and human nature. King's planned upcoming March on Washington would have given him a national platform to again denounce the war as impoverishing besides being deadly immoral for all religious faiths.
Had King lived, he would have surely turned to demanding that US leaders responsible be indicted as criminals in order to stop this worldwide reach of US crimes against humanity - crimes he so detailed, along with crimes of media deception in his two major address of that year.
Already the year before, British philosopher Bertrand Russell and French philosopher and playwright Jean-Paul Sartre, immediately following publication of Russell's book, War Crimes in Vietnam, had put together an International War Crimes Tribunal . The establishment of this investigative body was justified by quoting Nuremberg War Crimes Trials Chief Prosecutor Robert Jackson, speaking into the record at Nuremberg, "If certain acts and violations of treaties are crimes, they are crimes whether the United States does them or whether Germany does them. We are not prepared to lay down a rule of criminal conduct against others which we would not be willing to have invoked against us." The tribunal judges unanimously found the US and allies guilty of genocide in Vietnam.
The fact that this attempt by eminent citizens to indict had failed to gain much momentum, blacked-out of the news as it was by war investor owned mass media, would not have deterred King from planning an effort on his own now that the laws that came out of the Nuremberg Trials of Nazis were again in the news during Spock's trial, even highlighted by his conviction.
A month after King's assassination, during the trial for conspiracy to violate the Military Service Act of King's favored running mate as candidate for president, pacifist pediatrician Dr. Benjamin Spock, defense lawyers sought to introduce the UN Charter's Nuremberg Principles that describe what constitutes crimes against humanity.
King, if he had been still alive at the time, would most certainly have begun to demand that law be brought to bear - law, that is, as defined in the Nuremberg Principles, constitutionally a part of the law of the land. This would have surely have frightened those running the Vietnam war, who knew they were guilty under these principles, principles, which had allowed not only for Nazi military to be indicted for trail at Nuremberg, but five Nazi media personalities and one Nazi banker as well. (Dear readers, this is a precedent we still can emphasize today, to shake everyone up anytime we wish to.)
With King silenced, though America's war on Vietnam continued over his body for another eight years after he was liquidated; though his words condemning US wars for predatory investment have been successfully buried along with King's body by Wall Street owned and controlled mass media; though that war, as well as all the previous and subsequent wars on the third world, were never investigated, neither their perpetrators in the three branches of the US government, nor the compliantly complicit media ever investigated, and the books of the wars' funding investors behind every single war never publicly audited; in spite of all this seemingly hopeless past of unalterable ironclad perfidy, in our present age of instant worldwide personal communication, both international law and common law, will miraculously come into play overnight and surprise present and past high rolling master and minor war criminals, who include all the pitiful post-FDR US Presidents, all, both the clever and the mentally challenged, willing tools of the insane investment community that put them in the oval office to execute its crimes, whom Noam Chomsky assures us would have all been hung had the principles of the Nuremberg Trials been applied.
Anti-war activists everywhere, especially those endorsing, promoting and supporting the International Campaign For Awareness of Martin Luther King's Condemnation of US Wars and the "Unjust Overseas Predatory Investments They Are Meant To Maintain," will lead a movement to indict American and NATO government officials along with war mongering media personalities and the key investment bankers funding it all, just exactly as key German leaders were indicted in conquered Nazi Germany. http://kingcondemneduswars.blogspot.com/
King taught that all we need to do is rescue the minds of the presently media duped or intimidated majority of Americans. And never mind the speculating investment consensus control of the courts, of media, police, Pentagon, FBI, and CIA. King had confidence and an unswerving belief that judges, commentators and journalists, policemen, soldiers and covert agents are human just like we are, and like us, susceptible to changing thoughts, to having changing emotions, changes of heart and awakening perceptions.
How amazing it will seem, one day, to convicted celebrities, always having figured themselves to be untouchable, that they and their descendents will have to accept that their household names will become garbage in the eyes of the now joyfully free, wonderful, marvelous ordinary men and women, they had been fraudulently placed so high above.
Yesterday, before computers had today's capability to process a trillion operations in a nano-second, we assumed our confident looking rich and famous business-like superiors, arrogantly parading in power, insanely using us and the planet as their plaything, were well protected, unapproachable and irreproachable. Tomorrow, after their fall and rehabilitation, we will see themselves as having been weak minded men and women, publicly presenting themselves as exceptionally gifted, while inside their bedrooms, cowering in their dishonesty, who afterwards felt relieved to have been liberated from pretentious lives of desperate daily calculating within an inescapable prison of lonely greed and alienation from the simple joys of brotherhood denied them for their having succumbed to the commercial hype of egotistic self-centeredness.
Rather than the intimidation we feel today, we will wonder that we once took seriously, our politician congressmen passing a bill to prohibit their CIA, famous for its assassinations, from further assassination (only of public figures no less), reported in Pentagon-coached media in all seriousness, as if murder was not already a crime under common law, even punishable by death in some states.
With King in mind, we will ask ourselves why we anti-imperialist activists accepted, with little complaint, the documented founding and funding of a secret criminal organization with no congressional oversight and responsible only to the president. I mean, none of us had really wanted to think of the president as a dictator, a king, or a mafia don, who could order secretly assassinations like our Ike is on record as having done,especially not for a newly elected popular young President Patrice Lumumba - Kennedy soon thereafter repeatedly failing to have Fidel Castro murdered.
We will ask ourselves why they thought themselves so safe in their crimes and lies as to have allowed CIA files to be make public, exposing secret criminal orders of presidents, so sure that after a few days few would care that Nixon gave orders to "make the Chilean economy scream." So sure of their reigning forever that Brzezinski openly bragged to a French journal of having Carter secretly order CIA funding, arming and training of Islamic fundamentalist terrorists to war against a women liberating popular socialist Kabul government, friendly to US, with intention to frighten the Russians into coming in to a trap to defend its ally - crediting himself with causing the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and pooh poohing his having caused the creation of al Qaeda and the loss of a million lives as unimportant compared with having brought about the end the Cold War.
With King in mind, we will ask ourselves why enough Americans were so childishly gullible to believe the absurd lies that justified each new bombing and murdering of people in their own homes to protect them from each other in civil wars arranged by America in each of dozens upon dozens of former colonized and enslaved nations now neo-colonized economically by their former white imperialist masters.
Why was it so damned easy for the criminal establishment, with adjunct outwardly prestigious private institutions, set up by David Rockefeller from day one of the CIA, to enjoy creating civil war after civil war throughout three continents to jump in on, through his collaborating appointees to the State Dept. John Foster and Allan Dullas, Henry Kissinger, and then Zbigniew Brzezinski. (In the last year of his life King was making trouble exposing it all, devoting half of his two major anti-war sermons to tracing real history from 1945 and its distortion by criminal media.) [5]
We will look back and admit that this whole story has been on the internet, as were the facts of Rockefeller, Henry Ford and Dupont initially backing Hitler, and most of America's wealthiest families and almost every major corporation investing in cheap German labor and making a fortune collaborating with Hitler in building up a prostate Germany to the world's #1 military power in full awareness that Hitler was a maniac intent on invading the Soviet Union and cleansing Germany of Jews. King envisaged 'justice rolling down like waters, righteousness like a mighty stream rolling like thunder down the mountain.' Maybe this roaring finale of justice King foresaw will be precipitated by millions of snowballing efforts creating an avalanche in King's image to source that great downward flow of justice that will sweep and wash away the lies justifying all past wars along with the false and phony reputations of the pathetic individuals who were willing to sic the scourge of war on beautiful, noble and wondrous Humankind during the past centuries of ignorance and savage conquest by Europeans of the entire rest of the world's non-white civilizations.
King could see a time when Einstein's "I would rather be torn apart than participate in a war." will become the sentiment of all of us, until eventually the word 'war' will fall into the category of an absurdity.
That cry of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the passionate follower of King, "God Damn America for her crimes against humanity", will be remembered as come to mean, 'God damn that criminal and murdering American empire that is no more.'
For we will have built a happily decent America in its place, as an integral part of humanity as a whole, looking to the stars and Mother Nature and enjoying our Earthly heritage in a completely normal atmosphere of mutual appreciation of our short lives, the past history of the few enslaving the many at the point of sword, machine gun, missile, nuclear weapon and by disinforming psyop mind control, will be only a subject in the study of our evolution from industrial savagery to re humanization.
Germans could not prosecute their own Nazi government's crimes against humanity without getting shot, or worse. In the 1930s, there was no crimes as 'crimes against humanity and crimes against peace.' Empires did their thing, and humanity, especially non-white humanity be damned.
In the second decade of the 21st century, few Americans are being shot by their government and though even their teachers are not calling for the prosecution of US crimes against humanity, which few Americans have not in some way or another been involved in, when Americans see an alternative shaping up outside America, especially in the fifty- sixty odd nations where armed Americans or American subversion have brought cruel and massive death and destruction seek to use those very Nuremberg Principles the US agreed to against America, then will Americans come around to prosecuting their own rather that than see the world seek justice, restitution and retribution from the many thousands of Americans they would put on trail for crimes against humanity and crimes against peace since end of WW II and maybe even before.[7-list of possible aggrieved plaintiff nations]
Whole world coming down on the US could start with the successful prosecution of just one the these hundreds well documented crimes against one poor countyr. And then the prosecution process could turn to Britain and France the other imperial European torturers of majority mankind.
Where there is a will, there is a way.

- "Each day the war goes on the hatred increases in the hearts of those of humanitarian instinct. The Americans are forcing even their friends into becoming their enemies. It is curious that the Americans, who calculate so carefully on the possibilities of military victory, do not realize that in the process they are incurring deep psychological and political defeat. The image of America will never again be the image of revolution, freedom, and democracy, but the image of violence and militarism."
