Trilaterals Triangulating In Pakistan

In a one-on-one meeting with Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in Lahore in August 1976, Henry Kissinger, then US Secretary of State, threatened the Pakistani Prime Minister, who was pressing ahead to acquire nuclear technology for his country despite intense US opposition, saying, "We will destabilize your government and make a horrible example out of you."
Within six months there were massive riots in Pakistan and Bhutto was removed from office, arrested, tried on trumped-up charges, and finally hanged in 1979 by General Zia ul-Haq, a military ruler supported by the United States for more than a decade.
The United States is basically run by a small clique of wealthy families who own and control the Federal Reserve System, and the Trilateral Commission is their policy think tank.
The Trilateral Commission was established in 1973 by David Rockefeller as a private organization with the goal of promoting cooperation between the United States, Europe, and Japan. Rockefeller was inspired to forge this trilateral alliance after reading Zbigniew Brzezinski's book Between Two Ages.
Although Kissinger is a Republican and Brzezinski is a Democrat and they are ostensibly rivals, they have both been key players in the Trilateral Commission since its inception.
The Federal Reserve/Trilateral clique formulates US foreign policy, defines US interests in the world, and controls all the US intelligence agencies and the Pentagon.
They have no qualms about toppling governments at home and abroad or assassinating political leaders who refuse to toe the line. No American President who has turned on these people has survived long in office. Many have said the Federal Reserve/Trilateral clique organized the conspiracy to assassinate John F. Kennedy after he challenged their power.
From his early days as foreign minister in the 1960s, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had called for an independent and non-aligned foreign policy free of US encroachment as well as for the closure of US military bases in Pakistan, which were used for surveillance of the Soviet Union. As foreign minister, he built bridges with China, lessened tensions with the USSR, and gradually distanced Pakistan from the United States.
In the 1970s, a nationalization program of key industries under his government was carried out, which undermined the interests of multinational capital, owned mostly by the same wealthy clique that calls the shots in the United States.
In an interview with the French weekly Le Nouvel Observateur published in the January 15-21, 1998 edition, Brzezinski boasted, "It was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention."
In the mid 1970s, the Trilaterals had already formulated their plot to lure the Soviets into their own Vietnam in Afghanistan. However, the articulate and intelligent leader of Pakistan was a major thorn in the side of the plotters. They were aware that he would not fight a proxy war for the United States. The independent-minded Bhutto was too smart to support one superpower against the other and destroy the social fabric of his country in the process.
The moment his government was toppled by the military ruler, Bhutto was aware of the forces at work and knew his fate. He shared all this with his family and especially with the young Benazir Bhutto.
Three decades have passed since the Trilaterals toppled the Bhutto government and then eliminated him physically, but their efforts to destabilize Pakistan are still on. In fact, with the assassination of Bhutto's daughter in Rawalpindi on December 27, they have intensified their efforts to destabilize this immensely important South Asian country -- a geopolitical hub which the US wants to use as a base for military intelligence operations.
The US seeks to gain a stronger foothold in Pakistan to gain additional leverage against Russia and China. Meanwhile, Israel wants Pakistan's nuclear technology neutralized, as it acts as a silent deterrent to the Zionist regime's evil designs on the region. This is why the Western media raised the specter of Pakistan's nuclear weapons falling into the hands of religious extremists after the assassination of Ms Bhutto. An Islamic country with nuclear weapons, advanced missile technology, a prospering economy, and increasing stability could harm the interests of both the Zionists and the Trilaterals.
After some dangerous brinksmanship, it appears that they have backed off from the Iran plan and have decided to go with the Pakistan show, since the country is situated at a strategic crossroads in South Asia bordering West Asia and Central Asia and within proximity of China's western frontier.
It seems that the Trilaterals, with the help of their local partners, carefully planned Benazir Bhutto's assassination -- when she was on the verge of winning the people's mandate to run the country -- killing several birds with one stone.
Under Pervez Musharraf's rule, Pakistan gained significant economic and political stability, but he made a fatal mistake -- on the advice of shadowy characters in his government -- when he ousted Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on March 9, 2007. Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, Chaudhry's lawyer, cleverly responded by launching a massive nationwide lawyers' movement to reinstate the chief justice, which was fully backed by the electronic media, that attained the goal on July 20.
But then US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte and Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher made a beeline for Islamabad and convinced the exasperated Pakistani president that it would be dangerous to restore the rule of law in the country. Acting on the advice, Musharraf declared the rule of emergency law on November 3 and sacked and detained Chief Justice Chaudhry again, along with the Supreme Court justices who wouldn't dance to his tune.
Now there is total chaos in Pakistan. The Musharraf government is considerably weakened and has lost almost all credibility. The interventionist forces are systematically fomenting provincial, ethnic, social, factional, and sectarian divisions in the country. And the parliamentary election rescheduled for February 18 will most likely be delayed again since it could provide a semblance of normalcy to the fragile country.
However, the military ruler didn't prove as compliant as the Trilateral clique had hoped he would be, especially, his refusal to cooperate with US foreign policy on China, Iran, and Afghanistan was very disturbing. So now they are turning to the minions, who have no commitment to national interests and no understanding of the gravity of the situation and are at the same time contributing to the weakening of the central government and the fragmentation of the federal structure.
To save
country, the Pakistani people must use all their talent, energy, and
resourcefulness to confront the dark forces working to destabilize
their homeland. The way they struggle to cope with the challenges
ahead will determine their status as a nation.
