Ayodhyanjali

By Guru Golmalkar

05 October, 2010
Countercurrents.org

Where knowledge is meaningless

And faith is supreme

Where the world has indeed been broken up

Into fragments by narrow religious walls

Where words come out from the depths of deceit

Where tireless striving stretches fantasy over facts

Where the clear stream of reason

Is seen as dangerous treason

Where the citizen is led forward by untruths into perpetual strife

Into that fearful hell, my dear Lord, let my country dissolve.

Written somewhere in Allahabad on 30 September, 2010

Note: Despite the similarity in name Guru Golmalkar is not a descendant of Guru Golwalkar, the late ideologue of the RSS, since no one can descend any further. He however does claim to be spiritually inspired by similar ideals.
